Worst player to put on a Crows jumper?

Having seen one or two old threads, it was a completely different beast that it is today?

What would you say has been the biggest changes from when you first joined to today?

As a paid up member of the old man club, the signal to noise ratio seems down on what it was. Maybe that's nostalgia. From memory there weren't "likes" in the early days, so people generally only replied to add on or dispute what was said. Some pretty good posters aren't around (or around much) any more.

Other things that have changed are that when I first started posting are that Brett Burton was a Rising Star runner up and quite popular; the Crows had just used pick 7 on Lawrence Angwin, traded pick 12 (Shaun Burgoyne) for Matthew Bode, traded pick 23 (Drew Petrie) for Evan Hewitt, and used picks 38, 48 and 53 for Handby, Matthew Smith and Skipworth, so our future was looking bright; and dyertribe was a Crows supporter.

The posters that made this thread were also looking back on 97 and 98 being just 5 and 6 years ago. Port hadn't won a flag yet. Imagine telling them the next 15 years would deliver nada. 1 GF appearance for 0 premierships. Errrghhh. If we go the next 15 years for no premierships and I'm still here I'll probably shoot myself.

No flags for the next 15, would mean about 35 years has passed since our third flag ffs.

All because the players didnt turn up for the biggest game of the year in 2017.

We are massive reason why the Tigers are the juggernaut that they are today, the confidence and arrogance that they carry on with (rightly so they did win) is attributed to us. I actually believe had we bashed them in the grand final, they too would have missed the finals in 2018. The confidence of winning the flag gave their middle tier players a massive boost.

Fair call and was my second choice. Never seen another AFL player get run down trying to do too much every time he had the ball.

He also signed my autograph book as “hot sh!t” when I was ~16 at a training day at South Adelaide one year..

Edit: My bad that was Hayden Skipworth not Gallagher!!!.....and I over analysed that thing and could not make a had skip from hot sh.t!!!

While 100Kay shouldnt even be on our list, I wouldnt necessarily say he is the worst.

We have had some special potato spuds that should never have played a single game. 100kay played half a decent season when he was younger and showed some promise, some players never ever even showed that.

100kay falls into the category of worst player to have played 100 games etc.

Mackay definitely has a large, overwhelming volume of average to poor games. He might be the worst on total number of bad games simply because he's played so many games.

But the worst player to put on a Crows jumper? Absolutely not. There have been some shockers over the years

Its hard to remember but there was certainly a lot more interaction between boards back then. Myself and Macca19 and few others used to have really good conversations about Port and the Crows. These days you would never get away with some of the things that were said.

I would hope that my posting has matured somewhat since then.

I know some will argue otherwise.

worst player skills wise? well. most of them have been mentioned.
