I’m not sure you could miss the point any more spectacularly.
What don't you get? You somehow only enjoy when a premiership is won so you didn't enjoy anything which happened in 2005/6, 2012 and 2017??? Like I said, I know premiership are hard to win so yes I enjoy 2005/6, 2012 and 2017. We weren't lucky to win them so we go again like any professional club.

You’re on a decent streak for missing the point, I’ll tell you that.

The club has, yet again, drank its own bathwater gotten ahead of itself and yet again delivered humiliation to its supporters.

An awful team with no improvement in the coach's fourth year, and yet we got a bunch of hype from them after winning pre-season games. Apparently its time to win.

We've been rebuilding for half a decade, and have gotten nowhere near a list that could ever win a premiership. Truthfully, we haven't even properly begun rebuilding because we have done nothing to fill the most significant piece: the bell cow midfielder. Meanwhile, our hometown rivals have conducted a more successful rebuild whilst simultaneously being better than us for half a decade.

The premiership drought looks set to go past 30, and given how badly we've approached the rebuild frankly its difficult to see it not going past 40.

There is nothing redeeming about our club, nothing to enjoy. Frankly, if we were honest its presence in our lives only serves to deliver unhappiness. It would be better for us all if they just handed the license back and ceased existing.
One of the all time great melts.

On a positive note it will be really easy to create a win compilation this season with the 4 wins we are going to get. I can't wait to watch us beat the Suns x2, North and West Coast. Woo!

As far as I am concerned, the 22 we put on the field was more than good enough. It's Nick's. We got too far ahead of ourselves extending Nick's contract and he is proving over and over and over that he can't do it. The players looked like they are playing for themselves yesterday. They weren't interested in the over defensive mindset.

How many times did we take the game on then recoil all of a sudden into the possession game plan. Terrible. A good coach would have won yesterday.

You need to have a rest. It’s round 1. Against a team that has flogged us for the last few years. Very disappointing second half no doubt but get a grip mate. The season isn’t over and if you drank the bath water after a couple of pre season wins then that’s on you. A number of good positives today - but as you point out our midfield still lacks a star/leader and we need to address that

Yes the club has started to raise expectations and so they should.

But check out the results this weekend. No away teams bar Sydney (grand finalists last year playing Gold Coast!) won even though Brisbane, Freo, West Coast we’re all pretty well fancied
