I think the coaches and players of both GO & Wvale are smart enough to know that punching on this weekend would be totally unexceptable.. Hopefully the people in the crowd would realise this aswell because Local footy is all about bringing your friends and family along to enjoy the day NOT having to hide in their car cause some w***ers have had to many beers and want to fight. I'd find it staggering if both diker & dennerly would want their near perfect reputations tarnished by an all in brawl either on or off the field

Did anyone see both games involving the two new clubs? Wondering which was better? Sounds stupid, but a big win over Lavo or a 'respectable' loss to Sunshine Heights? I'm hearing Sunny Heights believe they are as strong as when they won the divvy 1 flag about five or six years ago. Sanctuary Lakes seems to have a lot of kids with plenty of improvement whereas Manor Lakes appears to be a club with a lot of outsiders who joined for coin.

Well since your Bigfooty history shows that your a Sanctuary Lakes man Paulie, You tell us.

I think everyone would be staggered if Sunny heights won the flag. Sanctuary Lakes and Manor Lakes will only be comparable after they have played each other.

Just by watching both games, I think that manor lakes are 10-15 goals better side. More mature bodies, and more depth.

As for throwing around coin, there are plenty of teams at this level, that do throw coin, and then there are players that just like playing with mates, and the location can vary. Westbourne, to Trentham to Manorlakes for alot of those blokes, maybe they are just loyal to each other....

Either way, congratulations to both clubs, but I actually expected with some of the gossip coming out of the sharks that they were finals bound. I guess I am the idiot then.

The real test comes for these sides is in the middle of winter when the riff raff go walk-a-bout when it gets too tough.

The 70 point loss to Heights may be deceiving. 17-19 to 7-9 says that the ball spent a heap of time in Heights' forward half. Bad kicking is bad footy but still early days. Not sure how many were rushed but still think Heights will trouble other good teams. I saw them in Div 1 a couple of years ago and although they were getting smashed, quite a few people were impressed that they continued to have a red hot go til the final siren. Wouldn't underestimate them but dunno enough about them to predict a GF birth.

When did this occurr?? Massive for the club to mix it with the Spottys and Altonas and win the flag .

On a serious note, how can any club who has not played in the comp for 4 or 5 years come in and honestly belive they can make the GF??
We have about 5 blokes still around from when we won the Div 2 flag, so to compare the 2 teams would be quite foolish.
Our aim for 2013 is to firstly bring in some quality young people to rebuild our club around. Another aim is to improve our culture and game structure and to play our best footy for as long as we possibly can. Where we finish on the ladder has not and will not be discussed until our first 2 aims/goals have been achieved (and they are a while off yet).

As of the 2 new clubs, they are have gone down very different paths, and although Manor Lakes have recruited for the now, Sanctuary Lakes will have some good patches throughout the season, and i was impressed with how they stuck ot their task, and never gave in. They will be a side to watch over the coming years.

Improve your culture??? I guess there will always be room in a culture like sunny heights for throwning elbows and try to knee players in the head while on the ground.
But i guess change takes time....

Confirm there favouritism.
If Wyndhamvale, go close or win,well I think that will give
Themselves, Parkside & Albanvale real belief .

C.S v Parkside I think is really interesting,
We know C.S wasn't far away from Wyndhamvale.
I'm sure C.S would really know if they have improved from last year depending on the result,
And I'm sure Parkside would think they really need to win well, to prove they are top
4 .

Think with the way the draw is, we might be waiting til Round 7,
To honestly see who's is going to take it up to G.O.

this week looks to be a cracker we get another test against a top 3 side at home against parkside a few players to come in this week which will be good and we will really see where we are at. in my opinion its match of the round but obviously the glen orden wyndhamvale game is the match of the round due to the hype about orden but after seeing wyndhamvale first hand they should smash the falcons. manor lakes will get another gift playing the 2 worst clubs in a row and a big % boost they have an easy first 4 weeks so anything less then 4-0 would be disappointing for them
