Is that Jack Martin or Dustin Martin?

Forward line looking pretty weak atm. If its Dusty, swap him to the forward line and change Gartlett, Hogan or Taberner for a mid rookie such as Jack Martin. If its Jack, maybe use any cash left over to downgrade Hogan and upgrade Sylvia to a premium forward, preferably Johnson if there is enough cash otherwise Pav. Doubt Sylvia will score enough to justify his price.

Here is my first round team. Started with a few POD's to make things interesting.

Backs: J.McVeigh, S.Mitchell, J.Bartel, M.Suckling, K.Kolodjashnij, M.Scharenburg, (T.Langdon, M.Fuller)

Mids: S.Pendlebury, J.Watson, D.Beams, D.Prestia, D.Thomas, J.Martin, J.Polec, C.Beams, (L.Taylor, L.MacDonald)

Rucks: M.Lobbe, A.Sandilands, (M.Apeness, T.Nankervis)

Fwds: P.Dangerfield, D.Martin, K.Tippet, M.Pavlich, M.Clark, N.Bock (S.Kersten, L.Markworth)

$32,300 left over. Want to put in Jack Steven in but can't find room. Thoughts?

What are the POD's?

Tippett - i like
Prestia is being mentioned a lot
Not sure what other POD's are there

team looks pretty solid tho (and i like the no GAJ move:thumbsu:)

DEF: Walker, Hanley, Suckling, Mitchell, McDonald, KK (Scharemberg, Fuller)
MID: Ablett, Pendelbury, J Martin, Fyfe, Daisy, Murphy, J O'Rourke, Michie (Taylor, Morabito)
RUC: Mumford, Sandi (Apeness, Nankervis)
FWD: Dangerfield, Franklin, D Garlett, Walters, Zorko, Hogan (Taberner, Rohan)

Forward line looks better to me now.

Walters - not sure sure his style is SC points worthy (not sure Freo apart from Fyfe, is SC points worthy tbh)
Hogan - no, tall power fwd in a dud side, limited opportunities

rest looks pretty solid starting point

What is wrong with Tom Mitchell? averaged 1.17 pp/min. Only behind Danger and Martin...

With natural improvement of 5% at his age and increased game time to 83% approx there is an average of 100+ easily.

nothing is wrong with Tom Mitchell, its simply who is going to get less of the ball at Sydney to enable TMit to get more of it?

Ooops, changed my side whilst typing.:p Previously had J.Steven, J.Grimes and R.Gray but swapped them last minute!

Thanks for the advice, seems that I won't be the only one losing my sh*t when Ablett scores 170+ Round 1 again!

Tom Mitchell vs Lance Franklin, thoughts appreciated! Thanks.

Well, this is my first attempt. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

DEF: A.Walker, J.McVeigh, S.Mitchell, Z.Tuohy, R.Shaw, K.Kolodjashnij
Emer: T.Cutler, M.Fuller

MID: G.Ablett, S.Pendlebury, R.Griffen, D.Beams, D.Sheed, L.McDonald, J.Martin, J.Aish

Emer: T.Nankervis, D.Currie

FWD: P.Dangerfield, L.Franklin, T.Walker, C.Wingard, A.Fasolo, J.Hogan
Emer: J.Kennedy-Harris, J.Paine

Looking to see how Prestia, D.Thomas, Hanley, Suckling, Michie, Tyson, Honeychurch, Ellis, Docherty, Clark, Kersten and C.Beams travel into the preseason.

I am taking a bit of a punt on Tuohy, he's the guy I think is due for a break out year

EDIT: Once I get my prospectus, my views might change haha.

Who should I look at? Want some POD players for the forward line so trying to stay away from Dusty because everyone seems to be getting him. Not sure about Pav either so who else is a good pickup?

Tuohy is a ballsy move, could be a bust or could be a great selection. I'm also not sold on Shaw, I think that he might be past it a bit.

Walker won't be available til later on, so switch him out for someone else. Perhaps Gray, or D. Martin? Also not sold on Hogan at all, their side already has a few good KPF's, any chance you could switch him out for M. Clark?

Otherwise not a bad side. The midfield could use a bit more firepower, play around a bit :)

What about Bock and Wingard instead of Pav and Hogan. Little rearranging in the Mids and I can do it. Or do you think Grey will have a great season?

I think Gray and Wingard are both good choices.
Bock if fit is also a good choice

Def: Mitchell Mcveigh Atley
K.Simpson McDonald Scharenburg
Reserves: Fuller, K.Kolodasji

Mid: Ablett, Dal Santo, Hodge, D.Beams, D.Swallow, B.McKenzie
Dunstan, C.Beams
Reserves: L.Taylor, O'Rouke

Rucks: Sandilands, McIntosh
Reserves: Apeness, Derixx

Fwd: Dangerfield, D.Martin, Pavlich
Bellchambers Bock Hogan
Reserves: Kerstan, Garlett

227k cash left

McIntosh I'm sticking with, if he can get on the park his a consistent 80+ scorer everyweek. Bellchambers my back up.

Will watch J.Martin before I pull the trigger on him.

Thoughts fellow supercoaches.

Evening all - Higgo put his team builder up on the site today. She's a ripper

Yep, especially for us that were too scummy to get SC Gold!

Good work Jock & Higgo, :thumbsu:

Carn the Saints!

Not that happy with it, not sure why. I feel a bit short of premiums maybe??? Any help would be accepted with open arms!

Hodge & D Swallow should be in your defence. Atley has not done anything so far to suggest that he will be a SC premo. Wasted money at his price tag IMHO. Also 200k is way too much for a benchie (KK) if you're going to fork out 200k for KK, you either start him on the ground or choose the cheapest playing rookie for your bench if you're looking for a cash cow and upgrade one of your mid pricers like Atley to a premo.

Can't see either Cripps or Honeychurch getting early games. Very solid team otherwise.

Pretty robust team,

You have some picks which I don't like; Heath Shaw, Steven; tag? I also think Bartel isin't priced well; prehaps will be less influential. However, I thought the same thing last year, playing a new role and scored well last year

You've got alot of value out of it;
Bartel, Mitchell, Ablett, Pendles, Beams, NicNat, Danger, Martin & Wingard will all be in the top tier of their positions
