Rankine - a generational and elite player in the making - being talked about as the best small forward / part time mid for years to come

Also Pedlar (no injuries please), TT and Worrell (Tom Stewart type prospect?) all crucial to our future

Last chance saloon - McAsey - has he had a full uninterrupted PS before (perhaps I am getting mixed up) proving he belongs as a KPD
Hasn't the Crows been playing McAsey as a forward in the SANFL lately?

Yes. But he isn’t up to it as a KPF (and sadly very likely not up to AFL standard at all). And we have cover there (TT, Himmelberg plus main talls). It’s our KPD which are more marginal AFL players - Butts went backwards this year, Murray is promising but undersized and relatively unproven. If either of them go down (form or injury) who is our next tall, bulky KPD besides potentially McAsey? Borlase - who is Undersized AND too slow to make it as a player

Thilthorpe for me, we have seen glimpses of what he is capable of in patches in games. Another preseason under his belt and I'm hoping he can gain some more confidence in his ability at this level and start putting it together for 4 quarters and really break out. I think he is easilly capable of 30+ goals for the year.

Yep I’m going to say 2024 for him

Worrell to cement himself as a top interceptor in the league, and Rachele to really start to show some consistency and kick 30+ goals for the year

This Lack of KPD replacement for Butts and Murray will be our downfall in 2023 .

Backing in Rachele for a genuine 2nd year breakout, perhaps not to the Clayton Oliver extent but reckon with a good pre season he has the body type and will get the opportunity for 30% mid time, plenty of possessions ( including some really hard nose special ones ) and a nice little bag of goals on top.

We desperately need there to be 2-3 players being strong contenders for this given our age profile and I reckon this will be the case. Most likely are
1. Soligo to keep going from strength to strength 2. Thilthorpe - becoming a consistent contested mark as he did in a few of the later games in ‘22.
3. Worrell the interceptor
4. One of Rachelle or Rankine to kick 30 plus goals as well as adding zip and class in the midfield.
