YOUR best mark ever!

i know this is marks, not goal, but im still not over Lloyd getting goal of the year. Innovative my @$$! A 6 year old would done that. It was just right place at right time stuff. Yze's goal I think was much better (left foot check side from 50m out along the RIGHT boundary in general play, actually sounds impossible) and many others. I was dissappointed Lloyd got goal of that week.

tissue?

Moorcroft's mark was the best IMO.

PS I saw Winmar take a mark in the shadows of the stand at Moorabbin before the great camera angles, best mark I have seen, at least live.
If the camera had caught it, it would be right up there.

Can't spell his name and too lazy to look it up (he is Carlton after all) but Peter Buzzusto (phenetic spelling),

Also Michael Roach took a huge grab for a big man in the early 80's
It's Bosustow. And phonetic. Here's his mark of the year:

The Roach mark from 1979 was huge. Couldn't find a clip of it, but the TV footage didn't do it justice. The photo shows how high he got.

My best mark ever.

Well I talk a diving 1 handed mark against Upway, running backwards with the flight of the ball in the wet from FB to take out first shot for the game. It was pretty nice.

Took a couple of screamers too. Took a nice 1 handed 1 once yet dropped the ball when I hit the ground and it was play on. Bullshit I was somewhere around 9000ft and the time and controlled it the entire way down. I was lucky not to die from the lack of oxygen up that high or the impact. Pay the mark you mug!

moorecroft probs is the best but i reckon that mark mcveigh and mark johnsons ones are brilliant

cmon bombers:):):)

Haha, proberley coz it was over your own teamate who was standing in an open goalsquare trying to recieve an over the top handball!;)

best i've seen watching a game from the stands was Riewoldt's...sensational.
Anyone who's played football knows what a sensational mark that was. Very, very hard to beat for greatest mark of all time.

Sampi's was spectacular. The way he got more elevation after he landed on the shoulders was amazing.

Moorecroft's was great. The way he leaned back to reach the ball in mid air was unheard of.

Can't really split those three.

Actually it was in the backline and I should have gone the spoil. I believe a bloke ran into a (Semi) open goal and missed from around 25 metres out directly in front (PHEW!).

I remember a few I could have taken but being a defender went the big spoil because I was a bit too isolated on the last line of defense.

Between Peter Bosustow and Stephen Michael for me.

Bosustow becuase I was at the game and he got so high above a big pack.

And Stephen Michael's effort back in the 80's when he literally stood on the guys shoulders was amazing.

The crazy thing about Reiwoldt's mark is the fact that the guy should never have been there in the first place. If you watcth where he is in the lead up to that mark you will see he had to make up a huge amount of ground just to contest it. Most guys his size wouldn't have even got there in the first place. Amazing mark.

Slasher Moorcrofts mark is probably the best for sheeer height and excitment. I was sitting in the second level at the dome right next to where he took it and the crowd was still buzzing from it 15 minutes after the mark. The ironic thing about that mark is that it is said to have ended his career as such because he never recovered from the hip injury he sustained whilst taking that screamer. It's almost quite literally like he went from being a pretty good player to a dud from the very moment he took that mark. He went back and slotted the goal after the mark and was on fire that game until he took the mark. After the mark he didn't touch the ball for th rest of the game and then immediately struggled after that game for the Dons.

That mark in the almost footy legends clip is bloody amazing. I couldnt care less that it isnt in a seniors match, that was crazy (and complete arse!)

Michael Mitchell took the greatest mark of all time playing for claremont against Subiaco in the WAFL, he literally stood tall on another guys shoulders. Never seen any mark come even close to it in my life.

Like it or not Abletts mark was paid and therefor has to be considered right up there, also Sean Smiths mark is up there in my view.

But Mitchels makes there marks look like chest marks on the ground.

I will try and find it but I think Demetriou may have hidden all footage from the WAFL and SANFL so no one can show it again.
