Your Big Calls for 2011

Not really a big call, but Essendon to battle it out with West Coast for the spoon.

Essendon WILL win the wooden spoon next year, put your house/livestock/shares/plantation/daughter on it.

Random call.

Bulldogs to have the biggest winning margin of the season.

Round three VS Gold Coast. The Suns will give their all in their opening match in round two. They will be so pumped up for it that they will go hammer and tongs. The consequence of that being they will be second up in round three. I can't see a young team recovering that well. Plus, because they're young, they will take time to gel.

In contrast, I am expecting the Bulldogs to have their tails up and they will enjoy a cruisy start to the season with three winnable games all at ES.

Bock has never played on Hall, it has always been Rutten who has had that role. Unknown how he will go. Bock hasn't played that much footy in the past two years - doubt he will be as good as he was. I can see Hall kicking between 8-14. As a surrender call, Guy McKenna will move Harbrow onto Hall at 3/4 time with the logic that Harbrow will hurt Hall the other way and run off him like a rocket.

What sort of odds will you get for 72+? Is it possible to predict a team to win by more than 15 goals? I'm thinking the margin will be around 20 goals.

Gold Coast to make 8
Saints to be Premiers 2011 beating collingwood by 50 Points
Melbourne also make to make top 8
Richmond to finish 9th

Western Bulldogs to plummett out of the 8. They are just not that good.

Kings Army will not write anything negative about Essendon. :p

Again, Saints to play in another GF, likely against Dogs, and will WIN.

Nathan Ablett to kick 50 goals +.

Freo and Pies to play the Prelims.

Demons and Hawks to just miss a prelim.

Goddard to get the QUINTELLA= Norm Smith, Brownlow, Coaches MVP, Players MVP, and Club B & F.

Essendon supporters will stop running to this board and bragging about things like coaches, training facilities or each time a young player does something good and will hold their tongues until our team starts doing something worthy of bragging about....Winning.

This boards moderators will decide that they will actually moderate the board in accordance with their own rules that they have stickied at the top of the page hence creating actual intelligent, reasonably unbiased football discussion, rather than pissing contests and troll fests.

"That good"?

They have proven they are "that good" by making the eight (four) in each of the last three seasons. They have proven they are good enough to make the top four. Maybe they are no longer "that good" to finish top four. But how can they be "not that good" to make the top eight, when they clearly are?

Buddy to have more free kicks for than against.

Roughy wins coleman.

Disputes over the new interchange player and who was and wasn't nominated as the replacement player. ( probably caused by bad hand writing or spelling on the post it notes used to nominate the player)

A defender gets close to winning the brownlow.

Swallow averages more possessions a game than Ablett.

Another drawn Grand Final.

The tribunal actually get a decision right and give the player the penalty or non-penalty as it should have been.

Demetriou resigns and sparks mass celebrations and for the first time ever supporters all come together spontaniously to celebrate.

It's certainly a BIG CALL... ;)

North to get over their "poor us" mentality and accept reality.
melbourne to lose to north and make it 9 straight losses to us.
melbourne to finish below north like they have since 2007.
melbourne to finally stop being obsessed with north and accept that they are inferior to us

Umpires will finally declare that Franklin plays on when lining up for a goal, hence teaching all our youngsters the correct way to conduct a set shot at goal, as well as the correct way to interpret the rules, and not relax them for 1 person.

See also Ben Johnson, and any other hook-footed lefty, for that matter.

Why will the umpires declare that?

They just listen to Jeff Geishen. It will be him to declare players who step off their arc will be called to "play on", if anyone.

Obsessed you say.

Perhaps you should add lash out and buy your self a dictionary. If the credit limit allows of course...
