Your Big Calls for 2011

Pendlebury to win the Brownlow
Essendon to finish top 8
Hawthorn to miss the finals
1 & 2 are very possible

3 is a MASSIVE call. Doubt you'd have many takers for that. Brave. I'd be very happy if you are correct, but I fear they'll play off with Saints

big calls?

Saints not to make the 8. :(

Bombers to make the top 4. :(

Carlton yes Carlton to make the grand final. They have it over saints, geelong and bulldogs. More advanced than Essendon. Of course Judd will have to stay fit and firing but if he does they will make the grand final.:(

Collingwood v Carlton grand final, however will be a massive fizzer as the pies will win by 80 points or so. :(

Going to be a hell of a year.

Top 4 to come from same 5 sides that have made it up since 2008 (Pies, Saints, Dogs, Cats, Hawks)

Freo to miss 8

North finish in bottom 5

Worsfold sacked during year, Bailey and Ratten sacked post year.

Ablett to get single figure brownlow votes

Both SA teams to make the 8.

they are all HUGE calls, I can't see any of them eventuating

What was sad or bad? Our flags and actual dominance? Or you referring to Ablett/Thompson leaving? Either way we did what you guys are dreaming of doing. True?

I didn't have a problem with people talking us up coz we were/are actually that good. Collingwood have only been around for half a year it seems. Yet dynasties await

I compared Collingwood to great teams as everyone seems to think they will dominate more than anyone in the history of the game.

You guys need to be put back in ya box.

And they will.

Carlton make Mick Malthouse and offer he can't refuse and he refuses it.

Hahaha:thumbsu:

St.Kilda realise Kosi just cant cut it and delist him at seasons end
Hawthorn can't make the 8 by round 19
Clarkson punted by Jeff Kennett on the quiet before seasons end
Geelong and St.Kilda play off in elimination final
Franklin passes to a free player in the forward 50 when within 60 metres of goal.
Demons top 4
Josh Toy wins rising star
Judd gets 3 brownlow votes V Melbourne while his opponent Tom Scully has 30+ possessions and kicks 3 goals.Scully gets 1 vote and the 4 points

Freo to miss the finals
Gold Coast to win more games than West Coast and Brisbane
Essendon sneak into 8th spot with Hirdy officially knighted by the queen
Collingwood v Hawthorn GF with Collingwood easy winners
Leroy Jetta has a 30 disposal, 5 goal game, only to disappear the next week

Top 4 will be Pies, Hawks, Dogs and Swans.
Saints and Cats out in first week of finals.
Sandilands for Brownlow
Giants fail in bid for elite players

Especially since you said we will only win 5 games for the year.

Care to backpeddle now before it's too late?

Didn't Carlton win back to back pre-season Cups in the same years they went on to win wooden spoons?

you could be right lol

you could be right lol

one thing is certain; if Essendon do rebound to a top 4 position, and Carlton also do well in their on going rebound... imagine the hype!

If Geelong and/or Hawthorn also do well -- combined with the certain ongoing strength of Collingwood - - good god, imagine the crowds!!

Even with GC dragging down the match attendance average somewhat, we would still probably break all league records.

They'd have to start selling seats on the MCG roof and light stands:D

Collingwood to miss top 4 as interchange rule, injuries, cockiness , GWS speculation and coaching box infighting brings them undone.

Geelong to improve as they spread the workload and T Hawkins fulfils his manchild potential.

Hawks/Geelong grand final, similar result to 2008.

How about opposite result this time :p

touche Lurk3r
I think it will be a Collingwood v Carlton GF. Awful for the rest of us, but now Collingwood have won a flag im not sure things can actually get worse.

I think Norf might be a surprise and push for top 4.

Expect Essendon's will nowhere near replicate their preseason form and finish bottom 4.

Brisbane for the spoon (not really a 'big' call).

Geelong to fall away significantly (again, fairly expected)
first off you are a dees supporter....please dont go there!

As far as GF's go personally a all SA grand final whilest living in Adelaide and your not a crows or power fan is much much worse.

The others are not that big call though - I like hawks 09's idea of Sandilands for the brownlow...that would be sweet
