Haven't listened to it yet as the link in the article won't work for me, keeps saying I need to sign up even though I already am. Will wait for them to release it on Spotify or something.

Working fine for me.

Does he delve in to the rumoured 'off field' activities? Wasn't that the open secret about why he was actually sacked?
Spoke exceedingly well and the only reference he made was the rumours about the reasons for his sacking were laughable, basically he said Roo had been made football manager of sorts and when he interviewed Phil Walsh about replacing Bailey as head assistant realised what a brilliant football mind he had he thinks Roo then decided Walsh should be our head coach. Brenton spoke very highly of Phil Walsh in that regard as well.

I wonder if things might have gone differently for both men if Walsh was the senior assistant, less hours, less pressure.

Mitch Hinge's low flat bullet passes really stand out but we've seen a couple of times now kicks that look amazing off the boot and get intercepted along the way at a point where the ball would normally be too high in the air to intercept. I wonder if it stands out so much because it's not generally encouraged even though it looks like what we think of as a really nice technical kick.

We often talk about who is a good kick vs. who isn't but there are definitely different types of good kicks. Schoenberg I don't think has ever been a very good kick but he has poise and makes an effort to try to hit targets when others would blast away. I bet at training under no pressure if you had someone like Brent Reilly or Chayce Jones trying to hit a stationary target 50m away they might hit it 10 out of 10 times, Harry might only hit it 6 but because of his decision making he ends up being more damaging with his kicks in an actual game.

Ned McHenry can't kick very far and that is usually thought of as a problem, but it does mean that his first instinct is to look for those little lead ups which is especially useful kicking into the forward 50. I don't think he is a particularly skilful player but again that difference in first instinct means he does end up hitting guys on a lead where someone like Smith or Seedsman would be more likely to go long to the top of the goal square. I think Tom Lynch had a bit of that mindset.

I think there is often a trade off with guys who are long kicks as well, Smith and Seedsman tend to struggle to consistently hit their shorter kicks. Long kicks better suited for coming out of the back half or going for long goals, shorter kicks like McHenry, Lynch, Betts better for hitting leads in the F50.

Looking at the fixture, where is our first win?

Not being over the top pessimistic but seriously, could you lock in any of the next 9 games as a win?

For me, apart from the Showdown which is certainly winnable, the most realistic win is Saints round 10, with a few narrow losses on the way.

I'm hoping for a couple of Geelong/Melbourne games circa 2021 but not holding my breath.

Away Collingwood (winnable but more likely a loss)

Home Port (largely winnable but loss)

Away Essendon (loss)

Home Richmond (Dusty will be back. Loss)

Away Bulldogs (Never going to win at Mars yet we’ll always be thrown there to play)

Home Giants (fortunately Greene will still be absent but not winning this anyway)

Away Carlton (we’d have to start now)

Home Lions (loss)

Home Saints (possibly our best chance)

I bought reserved seats to the Collingwood game weeks ago and the cheapest I could find was $63
Ridiculous .... with food & a few beers .... $120 day

I go to Etihad / MCG ......no reserved seating, but generally, at Crows games ....you can sit in great wing positions for $27

I can understand why Crows/AO are milking this
I can't .....this milking prices, is what killed Basketball, here in Australia .....during the Jordan Era

Took Basketball 15 years to win patrons back

I would say our best chance is actually against Port, simply because Nicks should have the boys pumped for our home game and Kenny and Port are under intense heat. We did play well against them last time and they are missing key players that were part of that narrow win over us.

Otherwise it does look grim.

I said earlier, realistically we are about 4+ years away from Finals. I cant believe anyone thought we could play finals in 2022. lol.

As I said before what were the prices for games say against Freo as an example?

Overpricing one game is totally fine if thats the case.

Football game attendances, are about habits ....this is why the AFL is having trouble getting patrons back, after CoVid

I believe in dropping prices for poorly attended games ....like Crows v GC .....but we are not America, and Adelaide is a price sensitive market

Those Adelaide Oval cretins, have no idea !
