The weirdest thing is he has the tools to be one of just a few absolutely dominant forwards in the game.

He can't really be stopped when he's on. Some big bags are possible.

It's just confidence.
his 2 weeks have been glimpses into the player i thought he'd be when he was a kid.
big mobile strong marking straight kicking forward.

i also think once you add Jones, you've got a mobile forward line that can run pretty good distances.
FF - Wright
CHF - Jones
3rd & 4th - ? + one of Perkins, Stringer, Langford, Martin
smaller - Tippa, Snelling, Tex

? is who is our 3rd tall
Baldwin, McBride, Eyre?

Who would have thought if you lead hard to space, you'd get rewarded. Fantastic to watch at the moment. Seems like he's found belief in his own ability.

Things change real quick. This time last year he was the best version of the ‘chop out ruck that can play forward’ but we were still on the look out for a big spear head.

If things keep going like this he’s the man and we need to find someone that can support him and do a bit of rucking so he never has to go into the middle again.

When Jones returns he’ll help the spacing immensely but I’m not sure Phillips offers enough in the front half to only ruck half the game.

I was looking at the coaches votes this morning, he was equal third best on ground in Rounds 2 and 3. After Round 3 he had the most votes at Essendon with 8 votes. Parish had 4 and Nic Martin had 2. Round 4 votes aren't available yet but it's unlikely Parish would go past him in a week I think

A big, strong unit would work best with Jones and Wright - someone who can take a grab deep and thus demands the attention of the opposition, as well as being available for the quick deep kick.

The Hooker role, really. Add that to Jones, Wright, Stringer, Snelling and Tippa and you have a good mix.

Warming to the idea of developing cox as a forward. But like the other options, still quite young and raw.

Too tall. West Coast got away with it in their pomp because Darling's pressure was small forward like, and Kennedy wasn't bad either. Jones, Wright and Stringer simply aren't at that level.

I know what you are saying. I think they can only play Wright / Jones or whoever unless they are prepared for Wright to play second ruck again. Otherwise Wright plays FF, Harry plays CHF and we play 2 rucks who do most of their changes from the bench with a little forward time. Jones is actually very good as far as chasing etc.

It's funny when people talk about Peter finally clicking like he was some sort of clueless 20 something year old. He was a top 10 draft pick who was desperate to be settled into a role he felt comfortable playing. Peter has obviously built on confidence that's been instilled into him from the MC.

Imagine if he showed up for the other 3 quarters the way he has to his last 2 first quarters
Would probably help if we weren’t missing the entire rest of our forward line due to injuries to stop him from getting double and triple teamed all game.

Some actual free kicks for constantly being held and scragged off the ball wouldn’t go astray either. Imagine if he got the ride Tom Hawkins does.
