Yep, recycled story.
"Zurhaar parks contract talks in midst of 8 week old story on Noble spray and a vague reference to relocation by embittered gossip columnist "

Actual article: Zurhaar looking to maximise contract and expected to re-sign.

Player wants money from team with capspace and no one worth paying isn't a headline until that club puts the player up for trade in August...

We must sign him. Losing x-factor is not good.

My first thought was that if we can get pick ~20 or better for him I'd do it. However, I'm not sure whether other clubs would offer that.

Then, I thought about our list profile, and how important it is that we have a good age spread. Cam just turned 24 and he's in that 24-30 age bracket that we're lacking in quite a bit. We need his experience, grunt, and leadership in a young forward line with guys like Ford, Curtis, Comben, Stephenson, Edwards and any others young guys running through there.

Really don't want to lose him, but if we do, anything worse than pick ~20 and we're on the losing end. Even pick 20 would be losing but at least we're somewhat reasonably compensated.

Not up for discussion. Don't care what the trade is keep, keep, keep.

He's got the energy, attitude and talent to be a superstar of the game.

Not that's there's an indication that we will but - let's not do another Ben Brown and piss up what we've already got.

Yep and he’s arrogant oh so arrogant. Best told in person as to how much so lol.
Would lose dramatic effect via the written word .
Is my fav player since Maj got the arse.
But for the first time I am mildly concerned as I took for granted the boys would buy into this rebuild.

Maybe we need to stump up for Al and just hang poor old Noble out to dry?

But yes I didn’t attend the game as tbh I’ve a lot of things todo . That may change should I become a boring old fart

But holy heck imagine losing Cam amd JHF.
As for the other matter , I did laugh and yeah , wish I had you levels of self control .

As I told my councillor a few years back I know and understand I get to a crossroad and right is the best option but just sometimes I say fucl< it I’m going left .
Oh well
I don't want to seem like I have anything personal against Noble, but when the better players don't buy into the rebuild, the writing is on the wall for the coach. It's up to him to create the right environment for this

What his manager has said is fair tbh, for his client anyway, especially with how poor he started the year.

Would want to put together some good footy over the backend of the season to pump his contract up, cause if it's being based on the first half, there's certainly arguments to be made both ways.

Also, is Ralphy the first media person to actually admit that JHF is just looking to build his worth before signing? Nice to hear at least one person in the media actually use their brain for half a second.

Never looks good when you see one of your best players, one of only a few with X-factor ‘put off contract talks until the end of the season’. Regardless of the reason given I think it’s ominous. Where there’s smoke there’s fire. Fact is we’re a team that’s won about 7 games in three years getting pumped week after week, only a vague game plan in front of small crowds.

Cam has the personality and talent that would explode at a ‘bigger’ club in front of bigger crowds. Personally I think the only way we hold on to him is if we start winning games and the supporters start returning to games. And I’m not saying in any way that he’s not a very loyal guy who loves his mates at the club. Because he is.

I don’t believe it’s all about the money and contact terms, as I reckon other clubs would be prepared to offer plenty. It’s about bringing back some joy to wearing the Royal Blue and White. Over to you Noble and co.

On the Good Footy Energies podcast, Jayden Hunt named Zurhaar when asked his most "ruthless" opponent. He mentioned in particular how heavy/solid he is.

No doubt Cam will be telling everyone he now has goal of the year in the bag .Just like he did with his “ mark of the year “. Was apparently worried he might pass out he got that high.

He’s got it all , best footballer and best looking footballer to ever play for North . Well according to him.

Certainly doesn’t sound like he hates the place and that it’s in a state of disrepair .

The club needs a bit more of that right now. Arnie Breidas/Tiger Crosswell attitude.

Get this boy on the “big stage”.

And he'd be right.

Make him Captain AND Mr January for the 2023 Calendar. He can handle the 2 roles.

Cam and Mckay are my favourite players atm. Absolutely crucial to our rebuild.

Former East Fremantle junior Cam Zurhaar could become a target for both WA clubs after putting his contract talks on hold with North Melbourne.
