Ginnivan takes it further than anyone. He basicall just gets the ball and throws himself at the tacklers feet and ends up on the ground. Selwood stands up with the ball and does his shrug thing but if it's play on he's still in the contest. Ginnivan is just sprawled on the ground.
I don’t really agree but in any event the tweaking of the interpretation wasn’t needed, the umpires already stopped paying him free kicks last week and the rule already covers players initiating the high contact

They stopped some ages ago. Gresham never gets in the back or high because he accentuates the force. It's been a couple of years since he got any.

Higgins pretty rarely get em either cause he throws his head back like he’s been shot.

It’s a stupid over reaction to a problem that Hinestky doesn’t exist.

Ginnivan probably milked a couple of dubious ones in the first few months but like most things it’s found it’s own natural balance (I watched some clips from the Adelaide game and honestly he got mauled a few times for no free).

The AFL only cares now because instead of pretending like he doesn’t do it (like selwood) he openly brags about how he does it. Personally I like the guy, it’s refreshing for someone to not be a boring robot.

The afl are a joke for not doing anything about this 10 years ago.
This is the best comment been on the whole thing. Spot on.

I wanna get some percentages off some people. What are the chance we resign Jones next year?
Also what are ryders and woods

Think Jones is a no brainer, won’t be on much though. He’s had a bad year no doubt, but we’ve seen what he’s capable of. Give him an uninterrupted pre season and get his mind back in the game and he’ll be alright. I know I’m biased but I see him as more of a match winner than Billings and we’ve still got him on the list.
If Jones isn’t able to focus on football 100% perhaps it’s time to give it up.

Ryder, wouldn’t mind him getting another 12 months if his heart is in it. Doesn’t have to play every game. Marshall isn’t #1 ruck yet.

Wood is one I’d like to see again. People are pretty harsh on him, he’s been a decent pickup.

If we land another midfielder, he could be relegated to the VFL , and that might not sit well with him.
If that's the case it might be him that doesn't want to re-sign.

Jones 90%, Ryder and Wood 50%
Would think Wood is higher than that. He’s been more than serviceable for us, handy player to keep around.
Kent, Geary, Hanners etc far more likely to go.

Ryders a conundrum. We all love him, but the drop off has been there for all to see this year. Time to give Roma the shot at being the main man.

Come on Freo.
George has raised my hopes again….don’t stuff this up!
Put your fingers in your ears when you're on here and just keep repeating to yourself "two games clear, two games clear". Rocking back and forth will help too.

Don't let them get to you, DS.

No one’s got to me, except me.
Ive given up on the season, a little ECO’d but you keep hooking me in.
Sad state of affairs when you have to rely on other teams to do the heavy lifting for you.

Time for a good glass of red, methinks.

Richmond have some fight in them. It looked like they were going to get blown away in the first 10 minutes.

I meant don't let them demolish any hope you've started to build up.

I think it'll be a close game, would be an effort for Freo to come over here and beat Richmond I reckon but we'll see.

Freo press the ground so well. They give you no space anywhere. They then go fast on the counter. Richmond have been really good with their ball use and opened them through precision and work rate.

Less than 5 minutes to go in the second quarter and Freo have laid two tackles for the quarter.

And just as an aside, wouldn't you love Shai Bolton in your team. The kid has some moves!
