Do we have any players who like to flop around in front of goal like Ginnivan and Weightman? I feel like it’s the kind of thing you wouldn’t notice/care about with your own team.

I was wondering this last night. Neade use to get a lot if high frees by staying low.

I feel like none of our current team do it. Even Robbie just exaggerated to show the umpires when he was being held.

Which is a good thing of course. Nobody likes to see duckers and floppers in our game.

Teams and players that don't exaggerate contact and play in the spirit of the game should be rewarded - not penalised.

I just want umpires to pay the frees that are there and not go hunting for frees that aren't there.

12 frees to one side in a quarter of footy to a team that trailed on nearly every other stat is inexcusable in the AFL in 2022. Especially when blatant infringements in front of goal like the Hawkins hand in the back on Clurey are ignored.

And don't get me started on the mark that wasn't which was paid to Cameron also resulting in a goal.

How did Melbourne lose to the crows last year?

With the help of a generous smorgasbord of home cooking they always seem to receive in close games.

Keays not pinged for HTB in the middle of the ground, and then the most blatant deliberate ignored at the death.

What about the later version of Wingard. Watch Hawthorns games when he gets tackled, he over dramatises every contact. Oppo supporters used to dub him whingegard. If you can get away with it good on you. But sometimes its just too obvious.
Hawkins should never have been paid that head high tackle. He went back like someone had hit him with a baseball bat. Meanwhile Charlie gets decapitated....carry on.

I always thought Neade got high frees by jumping up so the tackles didn't just sail over his head.

I don't think he had a choice.
I remember being in the crowd at a game against Freo a few years ago and we gave away a free against Sandilands for a high tackle, bloke next to me muttered that "he'd need a f***ing ladder".

how did that old Channel Nine jingle go (pinched from the American ABC Network)?

STILL THE ONE

Ah, the good old 'default' list.

Love how the Bulldogs number went up 30% last year....erm OK Roy.

The Sydney number is probably close to truth, biggest city in the country the theatre goers & average citizen would say "oh err yea da Swans".

Seems a pretty dodgy list overall though.

Matt Crouch officially told he won't be offered another deal at Adelaide.

He has one more year but it is as clear as anything they want him gone this year.

I can see him getting picked up virtually free by a side like Sydney and with good coaching becoming a valuable foot soldier.

A bit like Marty Mattner. A limited player who can play a role.
