Haven't done it all year due largely to lack of availability with both, but that's not to say they won't do it now?

Personally, I think they'd be more inclined to consider it against Melbourne if Gawn and Jackson were both up and running. But they did prove against Melbourne recently at GMHBA that they could more than compete with Stanley and Blicavs. The only caveat being that Gawn was playing his first game back from injury and lacking some run.

If that happens we are already screwed.
I could only see it happen if we put up a woeful performance in QF1 and Stanley was putrid, result would be a knee jerk reaction that goes against how we've setup all season and would spell the end of our finals run IMO.

Collingwood's last 30 seconds to beat Essendon (end to end play with Elliott kicking the winner after the siren) was awesome, but they had a couple of strokes of luck to be in that position. Harry Jones had a shot from 35m out straight in front to seal the game and hit the post seconds earlier, and he should have been awarded a 50m penalty after a Pies player kicked the ball away after the free kick was paid.

depends where said supporters live. Bad time for europe (although it's still 8am so not terrible), great time for asia, and not too bad for western USA (shit for eastern USA).

I've been thinking about this as well (admittedly after a glass of red), but only if Menegola is doubtful, rather than Rohan...would free up Stanley even more, who'd be hard to match up on the MCG. But it's a big risk to play with the structures now. A pity we couldn't see it in action during the home and away.

depends where said supporters live. Bad time for europe (although it's still 8am so not terrible), great time for asia, and not too bad for western USA (s**t for eastern USA).

It's a good slot for Europe/UK. At least it's on a Saturday and not a Thursday/Friday morning when we're at work.

I define a fluke win as when you win and any of the following factors play a significant role:

• you get an unexpected performance out of your player(s); Or
• the opposition plays badly and essentially “gifts” you a win

An example of the first category would be the 2018 prelim when mason cox basically had the best game of his life and won the game for Collingwood.

Look at collingwood’s wins this year and I would argue that in the following wins mistakes from the opposition played a huge part in them winning:
Rd 23 vs carlton (atrocious conversion by Carlton and a shambolic last 2 minutes)
Rd 21 vs melbourne (terrible conversion, they should have been out of sight in the first half)
Rd 19 vs the Essendon (some of the worst game management in the last qtr that I have ever seen)
Rd 17 vs north (a really bad team that didn’t know how to win when it was dominating the game)

And that list doesn’t include single figure wins against shit sides Adelaide, hawthorn, carlton again, port Adelaide, Gold Coast.

Plus they beat Essendon earlier in the season by 11 points when Essendon had 4 more scoring shots.

And let’s not forget they were beaten by west coast in Melbourne when the eagles were a shambles.

They were flogged by the bulldogs and richmond.

By my count they have had 2 quality wins all season:
Rd 10 beat the Dockers by 36 in perth
Rd 15 beat Melbourne by 26

That is it. 2 decent wins.

Also, with the wins against Melbourne, they tend to have the word over the Dees, having won 7 of the last 8 games between the two sides, including the Queen's Birthday clash last year when the Pies finished 17th and the Dees won the flag. Sometimes teams just match up better against other sides, and Collingwood - Melbourne is an example of that.

I watch a lot of overseas sport (NFL and NBA mostly) and feel the same way.
In no way would I expect to be catered to, I just gotta figure it out (not having a go at Stocks_go_Up either btw).
