It's not a coincidence that most finalists have 2nds teams all at the pointy end as well(Geelong being an outlier)
Didn't Richmond nab a couple of 2s flags in the premiership years as well?

Clarko will address kpp deficiencies, there is no surer thing imoYou raise good points and I don’t dispute any of it, however, my own opinion is that I would like to see some experienced KP role players to help the next wave of KP draftees develop in the VFL. Im not saying you’re wrong, just a bugbear of mine that Edwards/Comben were the only KP talls in the VFL for the most part.
Yes our squad is inexperienced across the board, but probably most covered with this mid/flanker type, rather than spine players or a small forward?
Just an opinion on the positional side of the players being looked at, not so much the attributes.

This will be the big area of improvement if we are given additional rookie spots. These players are not just there to find a diamond in the rough, but also bolster the VFL team, and drive young player development. You raise good points and I don’t dispute any of it, however, my own opinion is that I would like to see some experienced KP role players to help the next wave of KP draftees develop in the VFL. If we got those three plus cooper and a competent winger who can run 14km and still kick straight (acres, hill, whoever) then I’d say this trade and draft season has been a big success.Clarko will address kpp deficiencies, there is no surer thing imo
Do we get a Cadman type at the draft, Gunston in FA and Logue via trade allowing blokes like Dawson and Comben to develop? There will be action a plenty in this space
Plenty to play out and a couple of role player rumours shouldn't get anyone's nose out of joint...

It can’t just be a mature body. They have to bring something of worth to the table, not just other teams rejects. I thought the general consensus around here is that we already have enough of those?
In what way are disposal averages relevant to judging KPDs?Logue averages like 13 posession a game and Bruhn has one like 2 good games.
Struggle to see how most people can't comprehend our list is way too young and needs steadying for the next thirty games.
Don't even think improvement is radical - no more than 5 or 6 wins next year. Whatever senior talent available in needs to happen. It can't be quality, because you're paying a premium in the short term for someone who is not in our next flag team.
What exactly were people expecting? Have some paitence.
100%.But the point is no use bring in blokes who are barely an upgrade on said young players and watching the young talent rot in the 2’s then leave for more opportunities!
If you bring in players they have to add more than just an older head on their shoulders, it has the full a need and provide more than you are currently getting out of others in that spot.
We definitely need another 2/3 senior players in the starting 22 to set the standard and show the young players how it’s done on and off the field. But the answer isn’t to trade for other teams reject/fringe players. We might as well continue playing our own rejects. For starters we only have pick 1, 55, 66 & 73 to trade with.Struggle to see how most people can't comprehend our list is way too young and needs steadying for the next thirty games.

Correct!!Not enamoured with with the reported targets.
Once saw a preseason game when the Hawks were winning flags, and my guess is if you didn't follow the teams structures, you didn't play.
The real question is, do people want to see Long, Tucker, Hill or Mahony, Lazzaro and Spicer?
I would only the latter after a substantial body of work in the 2s.
Bruhn’s first 30 games have largely been underwhelming. In what way are disposal averages relevant to judging KPDs?
I’m not even sure what you’re trying to say regarding Bruhn but he’s a 20 year old first rounder from a couple years back. Far from a spud.
Bruhn is going to be a gun back in vic he was not happy up theBruhn’s first 30 games have largely been underwhelming.
Ahern and Bonar were 20 year old first rounders when we got them and this bloke would cost a lot more.
Not against it but he’s far from a lock.

Not one of "Bevo's" favs. What’s happened with Rhylee West at the Bulldogs?
Can play a few different roles, would be an upgrade on Mahoney, Spicer and Lazzaro.
