Joao, c’mon, he’s not nominating a state, he’s picking a club (which will be us), regardless of how the Demons media stooges want to report it.
It's not just the stooges though, even AFL.com reported as WA and Duff said we are in front but that's not the same thing as a nomination.

He'll obviously pick someone at some point because you can't play for two clubs.

Not long ago I coached senior amateurs. Our senior players had to ‘buddy’ up with our colts players who played the same position & discuss their position, how to play it etc. They had to watch them play games & then catch up during the week & discuss. Both players found it beneficial & it helped fast track the development of the colts players. There was a huge improvement in results.
I don’t think he knows how to play wing, who is watching him at Peel & giving him specific information on his role & how to be better. For example if Brad Hill was around still, Henry would be ahead of where he is now.
I reckon that's a massive cop out for his laziness

You're verging on cope here. He's coming to us and you need to incorporate it. Let its wash over you and through you.

I hope the weags get shafted 😜
I don't. What Nisbett said is basically true, he'd be nowhere near an AFL list if they'd cut him loose in 2019, they stuck by him over and above the call of duty. Shit move by Junior in my books.

There, now I have said two positive things about the eagles in one day. I desperately need to take a shower

Coaching is about taking out the excuses for players to fail. If you provide them with all the tools including education to succeed & they still fail, then yes you look for reasons. He could just be lazy, but watching him run around I still don’t think he knows how to play wing.

I am never wrong.

As Fyfe was never going to play WAFL again this year, Henry has indicated he is looking for more opportunity and is open to a trade.
Well based on all news reports last night freo has shut down any trade talk so it's a non story

A player asking for more opportunity and seeking to leverage his position by seeking a trade, is a story. And it speaks to a degree of hubris with the kid.

Haze's drive by was well informed.

I agree but honestly, losing him is best case scenario for them IMO

Liam still has potential, but I agree with Hase, Henry needs to work a lot harder.
If someone is giving us pick 19 for Logue, I'd be mighty tempted.
He got slaughtered by Collingwood on Saturday, and Moore had been in bed for 2 days beforehand

Time to chuck out some trade scenarios I reckon.

Trade 1:
Acres to Carlton
Out: Acres, f4
In: 28, f3

Draft hand: 13(ours), 28 (Carlton),72 (ours), f1, f2, f3 (ours), f3 (Carlton)

Trade 2:
Logue to Norf
Out: Logue, f3
In: 19 (assuming they get a PP), f3

Draft hand: 13(ours), 19 (North) 28 (Carlton),72 (ours), f1, f2, f3 (North), f3 (Carlton)

Cumulative:
Out: Acres, Logue, (end) f3, f4
In: 19, 28, (start) f3, (mid) f3

Trade 3:
Lobb to WB
Out: Lobb,19
In: 11,37

Cumulative draft hand:
11 (WB) 13 (ours), 28 (Carlton), 37 (WB),72 (ours), f3 (Carlton), f3 (North)

Out (so far): Acres, Logue, Lobb, f3, f4
In: 11,28,37,f3,f3

Trade 4:
Out: 11,13
In: Jackson, 32

Cumulative Draft hand:
2022: 28 (Carlton), 32 (Melb), 37 (WB) 72 (ours)
2023: R1, R2, R3(early), R3(mid)

So we have 3 x 2nd round picks + a 4th and Jackson, and a better-than-full-hand next year.

No Acres, Logue, Lobb

Essentially turned pick 13 and those 3 players into Jackson and 3 x 2nd rounders.

Are we starting the car, or do I need a clip around the ear?

I don’t think Carlton will give us pick 28 for Acres tbh. Reports are they want to use their picks at this year’s draft. I reckon it’ll be a future 2nd. We’ll end up trading a future 2nd it to Gold Coast for Sharp and/or Corbett and/or a 2022 selection anyway.

I don’t think Logue is quite worth pick 19 tbh. We might have to contribute a little more to get pick 19. Tucker might be just that.

Don’t mind the Lobb and Jackson trade ideas tbh. Think they’re realistic enough.

Also our current fourth rounder is Geelong’s not ours.

Reckon we’ll trade Meek but we’ll make another team earn it. Should be a pick between 30 and 45 minimum. It’s not a lot but it’s not peanuts.

19 for Logue on it’s own is about right. We don’t need to be adding extra pieces. I have no idea about the truth behind the Oliver Henry rumour but he would be an awesome replacement for Logue (Logue > 19 > Oliver Henry).

Acres should be a second. I believe Carlton want to invest in this draft. They wouldn’t give us their second last year as part of the Cerra Trade so doubt that will go now especially being pick 28. I think F2 is more likely and based on the reports of next years draft I can handle that.

Don’t mind the Lobb trade you propose. I do think 11, 13 is too high a cost even with 32 coming back but it is prob around the mark.
