I'm still surprised at the narrative around the Cats. Without question they are a solid outfit, but the pundits are talking up their amazing second half of the season, which consisted of just one top 8 team (and 8th placed Bulldogs at that). I know it's still not easy to win that many games in a row, but I don't think it's actually what defines them as a great side. Every stat that is being talked about them (scoreboard, defensive etc) is being based on those games. But good, we're thriving on underdog status so let it keep coming. Looking forward to being the underdog vs Magpies/Swans. 🦁
Cats may well and truly come out and show us that they are a force to be reckoned with tonight but I have to agree with you. I cannot get over how soft their draw has been. It bugs me soo much. I scroll through it on the afl site and just think is this for real. You can flog north and WC all season but when they have been challenged by the proper sides this year its been very close or they have lost even at GMHBA.

I'm hoping their lack of games in the last few weeks leads to a slow start. They also started quite slowly against Collingwood

Not just that but they hardly had to travel for the tougher interstate sides with the exception of Sydney which they lost. Freo they played at home and lost, Brisbane at home and they won by 10. These 3 "good" interstate sides they only had to play once.

I never used to watch the footy shows that much but since our game against the Tigers where we lost I've watched way too much...they all regurgitate the same thing and don't actually offer anything more than what BT or Brayshaw yell out during the game commentary. If an opinion is shared about the lions, they generally all agree but if it's about a Victorian team there's debate at times because they obviously watch those teams.

I hope the team uses some of the footy media not rating us as motivation. Our home and away season had a lot of us frustrated at a leaky defence and not playing to their potential but then our finals have been the team we wanted to see all season.

We needed a few cracks at the Tigers before we could match them and the Demons seemed impossible for us to beat. We have had close matches against the Cats over the last 2 seasons so we should go in confident that our game is just as good as theirs. We've got momentum going into this game and our end of the season was much harder than theirs. They've played one hard game in the last month.

Lions by 5 points.

Are we wanting it to rain?

It might negate our speed a bit and I think Geelong will be better in a scrap, it sort of caters to their old folks home of a team. I do think though that we clearly have a strong plan A and plan B now, so I think we are fine either way.

3KZ knows.

When true ‘Lionity’ is attained, one embraces a truth:

Wet or dry, Lions are still Lions being Lions 🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁

Come, let us walk the paths of Lionity tonight, my friends 🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁

Regular weather update:

Windy now and some clouds starting to roll in.
Expecting snow, then thunderstorms, before the sun returns to melt the snow, prior to the rain.

Am enjoying my morning coffee here in the Phon - FYI, I'm 3 hours behind the east coast.

Cranking Rock You Like a Hurricane - The Scorpions, which was immediately followed by Long Way to the Top - The Meanies :D

Ohhhhh yeah baby - feeling the love :D

Don't like how much the media is hyping us up this morning

They just feeling the surge from every Lion baby - the jungle knows when the Lions are hunting, the pack radiating a sense of steely resolve and commitment to only one outcome :)

We've felt it all week, building.

Now the land knows and the other animals are feeling it too.

"CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN YOU FEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL THE LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE TONIIIIIIIIIIIGHT" :D :D
