Gotta say, death-riding the Saints with that kind of a line-up would be a bit of a thrill.

If we were to get Logue and Clark that totally transforms our backline. It all of a sudden becomes balanced, flexible, creative and versatile. Could do with a genuine lockdown small, but other than that it looks sorted. Plenty of growth and development still to come with all of those players too.

HB: Clark, Logue, Thomas

Int: Hall

Depth: Perez, Young, Bonar, Dawson, Bergman, Archer.
Have you completely forgotten our leader Kayne Turner?

JHF will be on the HB line

Thomas will play Half Forward.

In: Logue, Tucker
Out: 55, future 2nd (PP)

Then

In: 27, Clarke, Hill
Out: future 2nd, future 3rd (PP)

That leaves us with the following picks

1, 27, 66

Futures

1st (NM), 3rd (NM), 4th (NM)
I dont believe we'll trade Clark for a 2nd round pick, but let's say it happens.

Why would we then trade pick 27 and Hill for a future 3rd? The bloke came 7th in our B&F and we already have a million plus in cap space.

Just doesn't make sense for us to trade out two contracted starting 18 players for what might be a 3 or 4 pick upgrade in the second round.

It makes a heck of a lot of sense on the NMFC board and not so much on the STKFC board is the best way to look at it. imo of course.

Already stated before, it’s because your club is a basket case.

Reasons to trade Hill:
  • "Lost the trust of his team mates", I know Saints posters want to live in this delusional fairy land that everything is rosy with Hill and the club, but it isn't
  • Frees up a further 1.8M in your salary cap for the next two years, which you may not need, but allows you to be far more flexible in refreshing your list, going after better players with that money as well as salary dumps with GC in exchange for players

I'm not sure how many times this needs to be stated. There is absolutely benefit to the Saints in getting Hill off the books.

We have to get one or two small crumbing pressure forwards before next year. A lot of our problems this year stemmed from the ball ping ponging from our forward line once it hit the ground to our backline. We don’t have anyone who consistently tackles or crumbs our bigs down there. Bedford would be a good start.

Couldn't care less about Hill unless it is a pure dump and we get something significant from them along with him.

Keep the Clark and Hill deals separate as much as we can.

think the hill deal helps the clark one

future second for both and we take on a big part of hills salary

We'll be taking all of it on for that sort of deal, I have no doubt.
