Would collingwoods first be achieved if we paid 100% if Titch’s salary 🤔

They need a second round pick for Hill apparently. Wonder if we could deal our future second and Mitchell (with salary) for pick 16 and a future third.

One thing for sure is that with yesterday's news around salary dumps being more accepted by the AFL we have plenty of options to cash in on all our free salary cap. Let's hope that we already have some desperate teams lined up with draft collateral at the ready. I still think it's important that we don't just take on any contract willy nilly and that the incoming player can at least make a contribution until their contract expires if we go that route.

Plenty have their nose out of joint with the coin that Jackson will command.
I think moreso they will have been offered lowball contracts, which is not solely on Jackson coming in. Hayden Young, Brandon Walker, Andrew Brayshaw, Caleb Serong, Neil Erasmus - these guys are getting closer to needing a big fat pay cheque every passing day.

Soooo…, is there a good day still coming. I could do with one about now.
If there was good news to share I would think it's been shelved ever since the club got wind of this article about to break.

News on Gunner won’t be this week.

Will prob be sometime next week (given the circumstances of the past 24 hours)

If this is true, this makes me extremely happy. If there was one Hawthorn player I didn’t want to see leave it was Gunston.

Only two Premiership players left now. This also makes them the longest ever forward duo to play together for Hawthorn spanning more than a decade.

891 goals combined and counting.

I wonder whether the unearthing of the issues in the last 24 hours will impact Amon’s decision to sign?
I'm hoping that the report finding that the current culture being safe and accepting is a positive sign and one that can be talked through with senior indigenous players- Wingers and Impey both know him well and I'm sure they'd be talking about it.

It's been discussed.

That was the old coaching staff and playing group.

Impey and Wingard are seemingly still very happy with the current landscape under Sam Mitchell. I don't see why Karl would change his mind on something that happened 10 years ago.

If he'd chosen North Melbourne or Brisbane? Maybe.

Heads are gonna roll. Make no mistake.

We'll take the hits, ad we should. But moving fwd I'm certain our club will be better for it.
We'll have the right people in place to ensure this never happens again.

On top of that every club will be investigated. More will come of it.

Which heads would roll at Hawthorn though ?

And if the AFL punish Hawthorn after voluntarily seeking info why would any other club go near it ?

The main heads will roll. Nothing surer now.

Every club will be forced to mate.

This is a watershed moment for our club and the industry. And the wider community.

What's happened today is enormous.
