Soldo going doesn’t worry me. Was very good in 19, but post injury came back in horrible form. Yes he could turn this around but we can find a backup ruck easily enough that won’t have as big of a drop off as a emergency against what Soldo would of done. In comparison Hoppers impact will be huge.
I agree. Nothing against Soldo, but excited to see Miller & Samson move up a rung on the ladder. And Biggie can hold that ladder steady as his turn gets closer.

Does anyone have the rest of this article?

Would love to know what the hold up is? If thats the trade then just get it done.

Either GWS want another player (why would they when they are close to the cap)
GWS dont want Soldo now and want Ralphsmith
Or we want something back in return.

I reckon this trade will happen Monday now, we will spend all day tomorrow wondering is it done yet?
There waiting for the alleged article about soldo being Posted 67 times
Then they'll act

Got his limitations at present for sure, but young enough to learn composure. Rance a good example of that off the top of my head, imo of course
Mmm. Rance was 100% committed at every contest. Don't think you can say the same about Hugo.

I'm not a hater, but he'll have Banks, Brown and co looming large in his rearview mirror next year.

Not sure if posted yet but seems like Soldo going not HRS

SOLDO MEETS WITH GIANTS

RICHMOND ruckman Ivan Soldo has done a medical with Greater Western Sydney, after meeting with the club in recent days to discuss a potential reunion with new coach Adam Kingsley.

It's understood the contracted Soldo met with Giants officials while returning to his hometown of Canberra for an off-season holiday, with the club stepping up its interest in the 204cm big man.

The involvement of Soldo could help Richmond in negotiations over a deal for star midfielder Jacob Hopper. As things stand, the Giants are still searching for more than the Tigers' offer of pick No.31 and a future first-round selection.

Soldo has two seasons to run on the three-year contract he signed at Richmond in September 2021, but is hoping for more opportunities after managing only 13 games this year.

The 26-year-old Soldo has spent eight seasons at Punt Road after arriving as a rookie, including the last four working under Kingsley. The ex-Tigers assistant was appointed as the Giants' new senior coach in August. – Riley Beveridge
Apparently Kingsley wanted Ralphsmith as well
Crazy if true

I'm concerned we are gonna be one paced plodders in the middle as you really shouldn't have more than 2 slow campaigners in there at any 1 time yet it looks like they all will be slow campaigners most of the time Prestia,Tarranto, hopper walking stick cotchin,Graham now im not saying any of those players are s**t its the balance looks f...ked

It’s not that slow. Taranto is like Cotchin pace from back in the day and we can always throw Bolton into the midfield. And Prestia is a beast, his repeat sprint times are elite.

Plus what’s so fast about Selwood, Guthrie, Duncan etc…

Then, some sixty years ago, a sudden change took place, gin-pits were elbowed aside by the large mines of the financiers. The coal and iron field of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire was discovered. Carston, Waite and Co. appeared. Amid tremendous excitement, Lord Palmerston formally opened the company's first mine at Spinney Park, on the edge of Sherwood Forest.

About this time the notorious Hell Row, which through growing old had acquired an evil reputation, was burned down, and much dirt was cleansed away.

Carston, Waite & Co. found they had struck on a good thing, so, down the valleys of the brooks from Selby and Nuttall, new mines were sunk, until soon there were six pits working. From Nuttall, high up on the sandstone among the woods, the railway ran, past the ruined priory of the Carthusians and past Robin Hood's Well, down to Spinney Park, then on to Minton, a large mine among corn-fields.

More to come.

DAICOS MEETS WITH TIGERS

Collingwood seagull Nick Daicos has done a medical with Richmond, after meeting with the club in recent days to discuss a potential move away from the club he despised as a kid.

It's understood the contracted Daicos met with Tigers officials while walking down Swan St for an off-season holiday, with the club stepping up its interest in the 180cm son of some guy.

The involvement of Daicos could help Richmond in winning trade week after obtaining GWS Giants blokes Tom Toronto and midfielder Jacob Hopper. As things stand, the Pies are still searching for more than the Tigers' offer of pick No.72 and a future fourth-round selection.

Daicos has some undetermined time to run on the how ever many year contract he signed at Collingwood in November 2021, but is hoping for more opportunities to win flags after shitting the bed in the preliminary final dying stages.

The 19-year-old Daicos has spent one season at Bogan Park after arriving as a father son. Coached by Craig McRae The ex-Tigers assistant was quoted as saying “can you blame him” when told of Daicos desire to be a Tiger. – Riley Beveridge
