Sorry if you're confusing commonsense with a "protection racket", the guy is home with his family during his mandated break, most likely with a fitness program to follow while he's over there. How about waiting until he rocks up looking like fat Daniel Motlop before you get all melty?

The really pathetic thing is that if we had a new coach next season you'd probably be talking Rioli up like we poached a peak Peter Matera off West Coast.
Perfectly acceptable attitude if we had a new coach 🤤

Best not search through my post history throrougly shitting on him while he was rumored to be in our sights then.

Can’t wait for next year . It’s gotta be better surely . Down a full back but and an elite ruck but apart from that it’s a good list , should at least make finals . We’ll probably get an easier draw than this year and hopefully a better run with injury and a better dam preparation, something was wrong with last years prep.
Should be a joy to watch Rozee , Butters and JHF .Todd Marshall should have another good year .
wonder if Finlayson can play full back ?

A tale of two captains.

"I've got itchy feet and want to smash training in pre-Christmas." - Cripps
"We lost the fire in the belly. Not sure why. See you in January!" - Jonas

"I've had enough time off" says the Brownlow medalist.

All of our players should be back on the first day of pre season. Taking the extra time off says a lot.

After a decade of hinkley and facing another year, you can understand why they'd want as much time off as possible

In not sure if it's viable for AFL sports but million dollar NBA players spend their offseason with 12 hour daily sessions and preseason/training camp is actually where they actually rest up and use that time to learn the plays, gameplan etc before the season starts

they missed a chance to use 'em instead of them, but
points for 'smash'
points for 'good nick'
points for 'attack'

overall a good puff piece

The only thing I learned from Matthew Richardson's letter last week.

From the CEO: November 17, 2022

Pre-season training for the AFL program starts formally next week as our 1st to 4th year players return from a busy off-season away from Alberton.

Rumours are circulating that Fantasia has already been placed on the Long Term Injury list after suffering a serious setback on the first day of preseason. Witnesses stated Fantasia suddenly collapsed shortly after pressing his car remote & was immediately attended to by the Port Adelaide medical team.

In his address to the media shortly after Fantasia was medically evacuated from Alberton, Chris Davies gave the following statement, “Look, it’s not ideal. Before today, Raz was actually making huge progress fitness wise. Just yesterday he was able to walk his dog around the entire block, without breaking down. It just goes to show how tough this game is. At this stage we think Raz has suffered multiple injuries including two collapsed lungs, a compound lower leg fracture, dislocated hip, bilateral ACLs, complete hearing loss, erectile dysfunction, a burst abdominal aortic aneurysm, 3 newly formed Haemorrhoids, acute renal failure, ruptured spleen, a runny nose, & gout.”

When quizzed on what might have contributed to Fantasia’s latest ailment, Davies provided the following response, “Yeah, he’s really unlucky, from what I gather he normally presses his key remote with his right thumb, but for reasons unknown he’s used his left thumb to engage the button which has caused an acute systemic reaction. Davies however, was optimistic in his closing remarks, “It might sound grim, but we know how professional & dedicated Raz is in his approach to his rehabilitation. We think he can get back well before the expected 3 year timeframe.”

Fantasia was apparently all smiles before suffering his latest setback.
