Whilst we’re due to be just out of reach of picking up a genuine star. Need a fair chunk of luck and drafting genius this year, which was missing in the first two rounds of 2020
Hewett. Just draft him.

I still can't get my head around the rationale in all these mock drafts whereby a club doesn't bid on Davey prior to Essendons pick 22.

Surely you force them to either trade out that selection for a future 2nd round pick so they have to wait another 12 months to get a decent prospect in their system or you try (if it suits us as an example) extorting a future 2nd round pick out of them in a deal which sees us slide from 16 to 22 in the process.
It's a no brainer, A few clubs benefit from a bid on Davey, W.C, GWS & ourselves included.
Edit: Westcoast seems the most likely to bid @ pick 20, forcing the Don's to use 22 (if they still have it) & then W.C directly benefit with their next pick at 26

Once again Carl. You should probably actually take your own advice and read up on ectomorphs. It’s very clear from what you’re saying that you have absolutely no idea what that body type is capable of in regards to muscle gain.

Ectomorphs, WTF is wrong with you champ?? Just say lean developing body!

Why are you acting as if I’m the one who started using the term? Maybe if you actually follow the thread instead of cherry picking posts to take pot shots you’d know that I’ve been arguing that there’s no evidence that Scully even has that body type given his body is still developing (and potentially growing).

What’s wrong with you?

They'll trade out 22 if a bid comes, so it won't disappear, it'll just shift to another team.

We are considered light on for recruiting resources from everything I have read.
Lost Rendell and maybe Milesi and were already considered light on at the time

I'm not sure I've seen anyone claim we are under-resourced other than Knightmare, a self-proclaimed expert.

We could be light on but I'd be interested to know which club invests the heaviest in its recruitment department.

Zero Hanger seem very confident we are taking Charlie Clarke with our first. Makes me feel a bit more fuzzy than Ryan

I’m not 100% sold on Clarke in the first round, but it absolutely ticks the box for some x-factor and for that alone I would be ok with it.

COLLINGWOOD

Draft picks: 16, 25, 27, 51, 79

List needs: Key forward, rebounding defender, ruckman

Who do they get at first pick: Jakob Ryan

The South Australian defender who looks up to Hawthorn’s James Sicily has bolted into calculations for the Magpies’ first pick after an impressive season. The Glenelg product is versatile and can also play on a win or up forward. He has a good mix of speed and endurance and strong aerial abilities.

Who’s in the mix after that: Harry Barnett, Henry Hustwaite, Olli Hotton, Joe Richards, Harry Lemmey

The Pies have said they would consider adding a ruckman to their list and South Australian Barnett is the best of those. However, he could be off the board before Collingwood gets to its picks in the 20s. Hustwaite is the brother of Collingwood VFL co-captain Campbell and is in the club’s sights as a tall midfielder or defender with some similar traits to Scott Pendlebury. Richards has been the late top-30 bolter, with the small forward or midfielder being a 23-year-old schoolteacher from Wangaratta who played some very impressive football in the Ovens and Murray league this year.

Late mail: Rival clubs expect the Magpies to snaffle Joe Richards with one of their two picks in the 20s, with interested clubs with picks in the 30s having all but given up on snaring him.
