Mark Duffield spoke to Long’s junior coach at Bendigo Pioneers
Spoken very highly of him.
If not for his injuries last year thought he could have been a 1st or 2nd round pick but a shattered collarbone stuffed that. Expected him to slide on the draft but not as far back as 58
Still sees him as a midfielder long term courtesy of his football smarts and compared him to Caleb Serong
Not surprised he’s debuting because his work ethic was always going to see him do well in an AFL program

Honestly thought his best moment was in that last play, a great pick up in heavy traffic in a high pressure match situation.
