There must be thousands of people here in the same boat.

Sometimes things just keep getting worse and people just adapt.
It's naive to think it's going to come to a head and then things will get better.

It’s more naive to think things are how they should be and the only way they can be.Sometimes things just keep getting worse and people just adapt.

People love conservatism. This is the second time in my life that a progressive government has won an election. I've grown up knowing very little but centre right to right governance. I hope the tide is turning, but I don't believe it yet. It's more, that moment in a bad hangover when you think you're feeling better, everything is clearer, then no, it's back, back again and not going away in a hurry.

They “adapt” into homelessness unfortunately. How on earth do people adapt to housing costs growing at an insane rate while wages stagnate?
Go into more debt? Lose their savings?
Those things have limits.
Not quite. The reason the Libs operate this way is simple:They've utterly rigged things for the older generation at the expense of the youth. That won't be forgotten in a hurry. Every year more people turn 18 that won't ever vote libs in their lifetime. Every year more boomers fall off the perch.
This is the second time you've repeated this demented "Every year more people turn 18" thought bubble. Yeah and every year another bunch of people turn 50 you idiot. Just because you never got over being a bitter loser doesn't mean everybody else doesn't.They've utterly rigged things for the older generation at the expense of the youth. That won't be forgotten in a hurry. Every year more people turn 18 that won't ever vote libs in their lifetime. Every year more boomers fall off the perch.
The idea that people turn 50 and suddenly all turn into LNP voters is also bullshit. People may become more conservative about their own personal finances but they don't switch their ideals or political beliefs. This is the second time you've repeated this demented "Every year more people turn 18" thought bubble. Yeah and every year another bunch of people turn 50 you idiot. Just because you never got over being a bitter loser doesn't mean everybody else doesn't.
Becoming more concerned with personal finances is definitely related to political beliefs and ideals. The idea that people turn 50 and suddenly all turn into LNP voters is also bullshit. People may become more conservative about their own personal finances but they don't switch their ideals or political beliefs.
