Newchurch snap 21-13
Free to Top Up2. 27-13
Nice tackle by Chayce, then turns it over 27-14
Cook freed up in defence, doing nicely
Top Up3 snaps 34-14
Zac Attack out of centre, another TU goal. 39-14
Smurph cops a head high nose bleeder
Smurph seems to be getting amongst it?

Zac slots a check side on the run.
I was wrong when I predicted he would be in our best 22 by the end of the season, could be by the end of the weekend 😃.

Half-time 76-30.

Not much action for the defenders. Best game for Cook in a while, getting a bit of it and using it well. Nank, Keane and Hamill not in the action much but Keane looks the goods. Bond is so strong for a kid, took a big hit on the wing but barely moved.

Borlase and Thilly sharing the ruck duties and clearly on top. Taylor superb, he looks very fit to me. Runs and tackles all day, good burst out of stoppages. Sholl excellent, Chayce a bit quiet.

Murphy and Ned have been lively but Murphy’s ball use better. Gollant causing them headaches, typical Newchurch game, some good stuff and some poor stuff.

Slow start to 3rd quarter, Glenelg kicked 4 of first 5 goals then two quick ones to Thilly.
Our top ups look good. O’Loughlin seems to have lost a heap of weight.

Chayce injured his elbow (dislocated?) when spoiling a mark.

Chayce smiling at 3/4 time huddle so nothing serious

Thilthorpe kicked 3-4 goals in a SANFL match (whilst most likely playing ruck)? Colour me shocked.

Why is he not in the ones again?

Good win by the boys today

Thilthorpe outstanding after half time. He took mark after mark - contested and on the lead. Kicked at least 4. Needs to work on rucking but his follow up work in the middle was fantastic

Taylor was terrific in the middle. Lots of quick handballs to get us moving Great decision maker and good in heavy traffic. Set up a number of goals with his astute field kicking

Borlase played his best game for many matches. Strong marks and good -either in the ruck or in defence

Scholl was excellent on the wing. Used the ball well and was much harder at the contest. He has been very consistent all year

I like Borlase in the Ruck.. he does well..

I will note that it is against SANFL ruckmen.. AFL ruckmen might be a different outcome!

Cook in the first half was very good at half back and continued on that form for much of the second half. Good offensive defensive balance best game I have seen from him in this position

Ned was more disciplined today after a quiet and untidy first qr. used ball better and was more than useful playing on the ball particularly out of the centre square

Gollant was a focal point throughout the game and took a number of good marks and was good when the ball hit the ground

Bond was quiet and may have been playing on limited minutes Did a few nice things but he was one of the players who will look for better form in coming weeks

Hamill really struggled I thought for the second time in two weeks. Looks to have lost some confidence and isn’t showing the same Zip in his game

Murphy doesn’t get enough of the ball but was good with his defensive pressure He missed a snap which has reduced his effectiveness at afl level

Jones played a solid game particularly defensively. He doesn’t get enough ball for a player of his talent however

Nankervis was once again tried in the back half and whilst good offensively he had multiple goals scored on him by Reynolds I think he’s better on the wing or ahead of the ball

Jones has to drop that defensive BS if he’s going to break thru

Keane impresses me down back. He is a good mark and has pace and uses the ball well. Seemed to be on managed minutes but he has a game for afl

Newchurch was in the game in the first half and looked promising but then fell away in the second half and became a non entity. Frustrating at times

Oloughlin was very good in the second half playing as a small in the back half. Magden will be a good player for us this week playing up forward

It's not going to happen.

The 2018 draft was an absolute dumpster fire for us.
