I just heard that we are into Callaghan from GWS in a big way
Never watched him play, how good is he?

He is just coming good after injury but he was the player we would have taken if we didn't give GWS our first pick. He is an absolute gun in the making and if we get him it will be huge
Good player but the unfinished article. Parish is a proven quantity and out of contract at the end of the season. Callaghan is out of contract at the end of 2025.

Parish is listed as elite in all facets of his game.
If we had pick 2 in the draft, we would have taken him ahead of Daicos…..

Not for the price he's going to come at, you'd literally have to sell the farm and pay him way overs to get him away from Essendon at this point.

GWS want Pick one and are resigned to the fact that they will lose a couple of players. Their SC is bulging also. It seems more and more contracted players are being prized out of clubs these days.

I know brother. Just saying Parish is our best bet for now. Callaghan another future star although people are saying he is contracted through to end of 2025.

Guarantee you we wont get Parish, price will be way too high (we'd literally have to sell the farm to get him) and I strongly doubt that the Bombers will let him go anyway.

Restricted Free Agent. Bombers can choose to match any offer put to him and any other club would take him in the PSD, so it's trade table or bust.
Edit: there are 2-3 other likely gettable players in positions of need that I reckon we could slot in nicely for something not far from what it would take to get a single Parish across the line.

I thought he was RFA? If so, we won't pay up what he will fetch, plus Geelong are all over him, he'd be nice though
What are your thoughts on snagging Wardlaw in the future? Isn't he mates with Nick?

Logic falls down if the compo they would receive is better than anything we can offer them, which could well be the case by the end of the season if history is any indicator when it comes to the bombers and second halves of premiership seasons. That’s what happened with Daniher to the lions.
