Congratulations to Nick McKenzie for being vindicated today by the Federal court. Same guy who broke & pursued the Essendon DRUGS scandal.

Unbelievably good journo, has a rolled gold reputation in the industry.
Any person with even a low profile, let alone a high one, gets a call from him to comment on a story would immediately be shitting bricks.

No wonder you were so confident at the time OR, had all the real info

Anyone read the pathetic article written by Allan Hird in todays bombers times (HS)?

Embarrassing rantings of a bitter old man (sheedy-esque). Still in denial over his son. The drug fiasco.

How on earth he has the right to publish such a story is beyond me. Oh. That’s right. The head of the Essendon cheer squad is in charge.

No. HS and Hird, enough to keep anyone away...

The article is an embarrassment and does James Hird no favours. Every time they seem to be moving forward they pick at the scab.

I'm so glad we at least stood firm on our theme song...
Do some reading. One reporter sensationalising a routine emblem change - they're surveying constituents stakeholders etc on a possible new logo. Nothing to do with it being offensive it's just been a while and they're looking at new marketing opportunities. Theyve actually got the oldest unchanged logo in the comp, 1997 or smthing since they last edited it, simply time for a refresh. Which is what's being reported elsewhere.

I have done some reading... everywhere it has been covered is suggesting they think it might be offensive for the 21st century...

I heard Carlton are looking at changing our intangible mascot the “Blues” as well….
