The coaches must not love him defensively because offensively he's turning into a weapon. Has a great shimmy and is generally composed with ball in hand. Starting to kick goals too.

I feel like him and Cumberland are kind of in the same boat - the supporters see their weapons but we're probably missing something in terms of structure the coaches have latched on to because otherwise they'd both be clearly best 22.

The next selwood. Eat dick if you don’t agree :D

I'd love to know what Mini was alluding to in the presser when he said he had to work on some things.

Yeah, doesn't make sense to me, Mini said he needed to work on a couple of things which he did well in the game last night, I've looked at his stats the past 6 games he has played, his possessions are mid-teens to low 20's, his KE% & DE% is not bad especially as he is an outside mid so you can't grade him on contested possessions.

Turnovers, tackles and Clangers all seem to be pretty normal from a team perspective. I was thinking Pressure acts and 1%ers but against Brisbane he was 5th best for pressure acts so that doesn't make sense considering he was almost dropped.

I think Ross is getting marked harshly, it happened while Dimma was in charge too. Unless there is something we just don't see? Reminds me of when I was in school many many moons ago, no matter how hard I tried in English I'd always get a C, was bloody annoying.

Which then goes on and gives reasons to your earlier statement about supporters being harsh on him. I can't see it as he's easily best 22, but i do play a joke every 2-3 weeks and say Ross out on selection nights bc that's how the MC ans some supporters see him by being the scapegoat.

Strange isnt it? I thought the same early in the year when we played the Pies.
Think he had 23 touches and kicked a monster goal, i thought he was one of our bests and then got dropped the next week... wonder what it is?
Same for last week too, thought he was definitely top 8-10 players on the ground and bam! dropped.

I have him in our best 15 players this season when he's played. Shouldn't be anywhere near getting dropped.

Personally i dont believe we have room in the team for both Graham & Ross and after 2024 1 of them will make way for the other and hope its Graham
Ross i believe can do what Graham does and has more scope and upside going foward

I want to see players like Coulthard , Campbell , Clarke , Banks , Brown and Yes Ralphsmith replace some of our slower players in the next 2-3 years
Speed Speed Speed Speed Speed Speed Speed Speed

Well we have to drop somebody, last in first out, so it seems, no other logical explanation.

Don't think Ross is a slow as everyone makes out, looks more mid-paced to me, fairly typical for an inside mid which is what he is at heart. Definitely quicker than Graham, though probably can't reach the same blistering top speed after 80 metres.
He’s like usain bolt compared to JG importantly he knows where the footy is which for some is like splitting the atom

You’re still describing him like he’s last picked , he’s anything but and that’s a worry if that’s how they’re rating the team

Well he was dropped/sub so there is a fair chance they are rating him as so, or thereabouts when you consider team spots and what we can or can't drop for team balance. That will be hard now, so safe for another game or two...

To me they have always seemed to undervalue his worth. They have valued him because they have tried to change his position to keep him in the side, or next in, but he came in as a mid and was so good in his first season. He had Martin, Cotchin, Prestia, Edwards in front of him so they tried to re-invent him. It has worked to a point because he is a very good footballer. Be nice to seem him back in the guts at some stage.
