He is far more than I expected. I thought he was just a vanilla inside mid not good enough to cement a spot. He is becoming a gun winger with no real weaknesses in his game. Credit to Dimma and co for developing him into a rock-solid winger.

He really does not have a weakness in his game. Decent speed, clean, good skills by hand and foot, good mark, deadly set shot, composure. Now he has the tank to go with it.

He is a much better mark over head than I realised. He has it all at the moment and looks quite fast which is the biggest shock to me.

i was always the only person on here to say hed make it, including all the weirdo lurkers (i see you) and i take full credit for his current form and the match committees decision to keep playing him and 9/11.
Nah, I was always pro Ross so you're not the only one, have always included him in my best 22, criminal every time he gets dropped.

Overhead mark is great. His side step has become a real weapon, buys him a lot more time than just having pure speed.

Going very well. I would still love to entertain the thought of him at a centre bounce.

Maybe the Cotch replacement from 2024 onwards.

Ross was always going to be this good, actually he is going to be an absolute star. People forget he was an U16 Vic Metro Captain, as a junior he was explosive midfielder who just smashed his way through packs then delivered the ball with insane efficiency, then missed U18 Vic due to injury...

but got his body right to win the Oakleigh Chargers’ best and fairest in 2018 from just 12 games. He is elite over 20m at under 2.9s and has elite stats for a marking midfielder.

He has added the endurance and has even started to tackle, will be a best and fairest winner at Richmond before his career is out.

We are so close to seeing Jack leave it's not funny.
He wanted regular games and was promised regular games but Dimma didn't do him any favours.
He could have gone to Collingwood as they made a play for him in his first year at the club.

I'm hoping that Mini and co realise how good he is and don't **** around which is trust.

How good was Ross when Cotch was out injured and he took his place in the midfield?

I think internally Jack Ross was always rated highly but the club and coaches just wanted to develop other parts of his game and in hindsight have been proven to be correct in their decisions and its showing now.

I was not aware that he was as quick as mentioned by Growapair "He is elite over 20m at under 2.9s" and if that is the case then he will have all the tools to become a real weapon with the speed sidestep marking and recently nice goal kicking. Also going by his junior years has captaincy potential and is a leader.

Lets hope he continues to improve and becomes a gun , Hopper & Taranto i think have been really good for Ross also as i have seen a few pieces where they are together

This bloke has shown an incredible amount of resilience and loyalty. Tiger for life

So who goes out next season? with Ross playing very good football on the wing, I think Pickett v McIntosh for the other spot next season, I don't believe we can play all 3 if we want to move forward as a club.
If Pickett and KMac haven’t been upgraded by the start of next season then be prepared for much the same standard of football we’re seeing this year.
