Moves Baker, Moves Vlastuin & Couldthard comes on we win the game McQualter is a master. I think it would be crazy to not give him 2-3 years with this list as head coach, I'd hate for us not to give him the job & he goes somewhere else which will likely happen if he doesn't get the job.

I don't classify this game as a "win" for Mini despite the victory. The hawks are a really terrible side and they dominated us at times. Great win, but should never have been in that position.

The sub of Young off however was impressive. Young hadn't put a foot wrong all day, but it was a great call in hindsight

He has done a great job, I dare say the club appointed him as they wanted to continue to play for the 8 and thought their best chance was minimal chaos and change - which was probably the right call.

What we need longterm is a different story. Watching us throw our year away to the Hawks while Carlton destroy an Eagles team we barely could beat last week is 2 weeks at the most important time of year we have not turned up. That's just too damning for me to want to invest in longterm. Won't pretend to know who the "right man" is - but i doubt its Mini for the results we have seen. Every win was close and difficult & most of our losses have been a bit embarrassing.

Those players saved him today, but the fact they did means alot.

Up until they did, what i & most of us were saying was true. The performance for the Eagles game and for 3/4s of this game was awful and a real stake in the heart of his chances. Obviously if he is able to get this team to lift in the 3rd and get them that inspired, its a fair game changer. I'd still prefer a coach that doesn't need to pull that trick to beat the 16th team. I am definitely not sold on him longterm based on 1 qtr of inspired footy. He needs to keep backing it up & backing it up. This is the head coaching role for the biggest club in the land. The expectations are high

Agree. A process does need to happen and they should know that. I guess they are emotional though after a big win. Question is, if we lose by 5 points instead, would they say it?

We played atrocious unwatchable footy and barely beat the worst team since Fitzroy 96 last week and scraped by against a rebuilding team who's tanking lol wtf is impressed by these performances. It's like potting Rebel Wilson and thinking it was Pamela Anderson. Mini can p1ss off I'll take the outstanding candidate thanks. If we were any good our percentage the last fortnight would've jumped to 115-120% and we're still sub 100.

We have big lapses in games and play 1 or 2 good quarters big problem under Mini is my concern. We won't do that against top sides coming back.The inability to put a good 4 quarter effort is a big issue.

We only had two losses under Mini. Port and Brisbane. The Port loss was a close fight where we just fell short and not really embarrassing. The Brisbane loss was though.

Agree that the wins are more damning in that we should have won very convincingly to the bottom dregs of the comp (West Coast and Hawthorn). I think Melbourne will expose where we really are at next week.

It's a no to Mini for me. This performance combined with last weeks have been the WORST elements of our 2021-2023 era. Poor performances at key times vs below average teams.

Everything they are saying with Mini is that is very much "same-old, same-old" with a new voice.

We clearly need something newer and fresher than just a "new voice". If all Mini has is a Dimma clone in regards to game style, then he has shot himself in the foot as we clearly need more change than just a "new voice".
