Yes I do , but the story has changed from your first post on selection. You said leadership group should have a say in it
And I stand by them as they’re players and not administrators or other members of a coaching panel. What would be the point in having a panel if players give their feedback. Especially when the team has just lost their coach Bc he couldn’t get them going? Madness and nonsense on stilts.

I bet if you were asked to give feedback, you would jump at the opportunity:p

You’ll be completely naive to think the players aren’t consulted. Especially the leaders. Times have changed TI.
Um maybe , but remember these guys were behind the resignation of their last coach as they couldn’t perform for him anymore . Or Dimma couldn’t cook the snag 1001 times 😆 I don’t think Benny would be taking their opinions seriously as it just doesn’t make sense.

It would be positive and honest ND. 😉
I think minibus has the job all sewn up and it’s for him to lose it. I’m still concerned that he’s been there from the start of our success as an assistant which is different to being head coach. He’s growing in the role, but is he too close to the boys is my worry?

Seems it only doesn’t make sense to you. But that’s typical

No it’s perfectly clear to me and there has been no valid reason given to me to suggest otherwise.
I would say there has been plenty of valid reasons given to you but you just don’t want to take them on because you don’t agree with it . You have an archaic view on football that’s fine that’s your prerogative, but the football world has changed.

To quote and old boss (and this is tongue in cheek) - "Why did the dinosaurs die?" Because they didn't adapt.
Exactly. That and a meteor hit the earth and wiped out over 90% of all living things.

Come to think of it, they did adapt. They evolved into birds.

why is being close to the boys an issue?

thats exactly y theyre taken seriously, theyve been proven correct by hinting to Gale we need change, dimmas cooked n they got what they wanted n havent let Benny down or themselves so far imo;),that Essendon game was the last straw of a 6-7 week long straw

I think he def would engage the leaders , they re called stakeholders . Pretty important for the coach to be successful that he gets cut through with the playing group tbh I believe it will be the pivotal point that mini succeeds in getting the role provided we play the season out like it’s started for mini

Yep no doubt that fire breathing alpha male are modern day Dinosaurs in coaching ranks , the mccrae mould looks to be the quintessential coach where he has the playing group in the palm of his hand ,,,,it’s not about that one move at bad camp it’s positive ENGAGEMENT, pretty sure RFC know all about it

MRJ is a kid still learning the caper. Dermie thought Dusty was a plodder and that worked out ok. He's still finding his way. Does some great things defensively. Not writing him off. On Graham and the others, we just have to remember the current coaching group aren't interested in stat plodder types. So how they rate and view games is totally different to us. So I don't get too frustrated when these guys play because I have no idea what benchmarks they have hit to keep their spot in the team. I rate JG.

Just wait till Xi takes Taiwan.
I still waiting for someone to take over Manhattan :)

It's a no to Mini for me. This performance combined with last weeks have been the WORST elements of our 2021-2023 era. Poor performances at key times vs below average teams.

Everything they are saying with Mini is that is very much "same-old, same-old" with a new voice.

We clearly need something newer and fresher than just a "new voice". If all Mini has is a Dimma clone in regards to game style, then he has shot himself in the foot as we clearly need more change than just a "new voice".

Been a big mini fan, thought he has done a great job considering the circumstances but today I feel is just more of the same. Our attitude, she'll be right thinking isn't something new for this side it's been happening a few years now, we have lost that killer instinct and hunger.
We need a new coach, with new ideas and a different belief.

He has done a great job, I dare say the club appointed him as they wanted to continue to play for the 8 and thought their best chance was minimal chaos and change - which was probably the right call.

What we need longterm is a different story. Watching us throw our year away to the Hawks while Carlton destroy an Eagles team we barely could beat last week is 2 weeks at the most important time of year we have not turned up. That's just too damning for me to want to invest in longterm. Won't pretend to know who the "right man" is - but i doubt its Mini for the results we have seen. Every win was close and difficult & most of our losses have been a bit embarrassing.

Coaching is the same as under DH bomb long even though we have a short fw structure. I mean that is just drop-dead stupid.

I know, i said before the game SuperCoach players with Siciliy are going to enjoy this

& next year without Jack, that style will only look worse

Got no forward line, perfect time to throw Tylar Young forward and sub out Cotchin or Pickett.

Thanks for the interim gig Mini but he can't be appointed senior coach.

McQualter will be at Saints next year. His diluted version of Hardwicks cordial is too sh1t and bland. Nice Guys finish last. Don't wanna see our premiership players victory lap for next four years. Delist list cloggers and those past expiry date. Bring on a new fresh era.
