We ain't port Adelaide no more... haven't been for awhile now.
 
Just reflecting on the quality of the opposition, Brisbane have a lot going for their list when you have Fletcher, Ashcroft, another Ashcroft coming, and their swathe of mid-age mids (McLuggage, Dunkley, Neale, Bailey, Berry, Robertson) and HB flankers. That type of depth is much better than anything we can hope for, especially with so few draft picks coming our way. We won’t compete with them for a long time.

Fletcher and McLuggage were phenomenal tonight.

Helps when you get Ashcroft and Fletcher on Father/Son picks, Josh Dunkley was a great pick up as well.

Preparing a team mentally is totally on the coach when people dip and regress it's a reflection of the system.

It's off it always has been under this fraud, Boak has been spraying important kicks inside 50 for years, SPP can't kick simple set shots either would you describe them as mentally weak individuals?

Remember when Blight went to Adelaide and even their spuds started kicking straight overnight.

Definitely Jed’s fault not our two vice captains and other more senior players like finlayson, Marshall, Burton, Allir, and boak when he came on all doing absolutely **** all.

So many passengers today. Literally only had about 3 or 4 good players.

Standard port collective stage fright in a final.

This time it wasn’t even a knockout final, which is the most concerning thing of tonight. If we shit ourselves that much In a QF, god help us if we ever fluke our way to a gf.

I didn’t rate Brisbanes form going into finals as much as everyone else and didn’t think we would be that much of a choking hazard in a QF with a second chance.

Our choking has been more an issue in knockout finals so I thought we were a good chance to play without those mental demons tonight but I was wrong.

Apologies for trying to be positive. Congrats on being right, so happy for you.

Not at all savoury questions but has something happened for the Finlayson family off field, because he seems off the mark? Similarly are there lingering concussion effects on Marshall? Both are miles off their best but both could potentially have very genuine reasons
 
I'm angry. Though I'm really not sure whether I'm angry at Port for such an insipid performance, or whether I'm angry at myself for getting sucked into believing this team just might be different to the previous Hinkley teams of years past.

Such an embarrassing performance. It's nights like these as to why the Club should never has extended Ken's contract prior to this finals series.

Who cares if they have off field issues? If you're putting your hand up to play, you don't get to have an asterisk excusing you of piss poor performance irrespective of what is happening in your life off the field. If you can't perform, don't play, find someone else who can.

I don't disagree with you, if that is the case then they shouldn't be out there, whether they make that decision themselves or the selection committee makes it for them. I'm just wondering whether that is the issue or if they're just woefully out of form just because
 
Jezza was mentally fragile in finals at the giants too, was just about worst on ground tonight.

We’ve got too many chokers in our team. Rozee and butters can’t win it themselves they need help and got **** all tonight.

Finlayson has always been flakey but I was pleasantly surprised with the consistency he had shown for most of the year, unfortunately the flakiness of his gws years has returned. Off field issues maybe, but he has a history of inconsistency in effort and form.

There was a lion's supporter near me and there was some friendly banter going on between him and the young lads in the row in front of me.

Then in the third quarter as the game got ugly this Lions supporter told the guy in front he should go for an umpires license (because he thought he was an expert on everything). The young lad turned around and called him a "fücking campaigner" at which point the lion's supporter pushed him in the shoulder.

It was much ado about nothing. Complete escalation for nothing. The young lads mate called security who came over, listened to the people in the section as to what happened and deemed there was no more action to take place.

Things were calm. Then at 3/4 this young lad goes to his dad who was one section over who then got another security guard to investigate. This security guard pulled the lion's supporter out to talk to him at which point the dad said the lion's supporter punched his son (he did nothing of the sort) and security agreed with this version of events and asked the lion's supporter to leave.

The initial security guard came up to me because I was confused AF with what was going on, and she apologised profusely saying "it wasn't me" (who kicked the Lion's supporter out).

Total shitshow. Completely unnecessary and quite frankly a dog act.
