Using 4 and 9 this year
Then matching Welsh and trying to get a FA next year is what we should be aiming at
Any decent FAs next year?
Mids only

Dowling has been superb. We forget how young these new guys are. What did Sloane, Crouch and Laird do in their first senior year?
Huh?if we don’t get pick 4 but say GC took 10 as part of the deal for it and then had 10 on the table would we go for it and at what price?
I can certainly see a scenario where something like that is where it gets to

I can see GC accepting an offer from someone else over ours but that then sees them further splitting something obtained in that tradeHuh?
Jesus to appear and force himWhat do you think it would take for Mcluggage to pack his suitcases and come to the Crows
Ahhh. I see.I can see GC accepting an offer from someone else over ours but that then sees them further splitting something obtained in that trade
In my example they get pick 10 as part of that deal and move that on for more points again, how interested would we be in getting on that secondary phase
No he is from Vic, so if he did decide to leave it would more than likely be back there. But we should be talking to him and other non SA guys if we think they will improve our midfield. He looked like an inside Dawson last night. Similar leg and brains but a bit more burley and brawn would be amazing for us his impact was huge last night. Is he from SA?
You know, on second thoughts, I think you're right. He might be a Carlton flog. And I guess I don't know him so well.
It's 100% a rule. Shouldn't be.
Not sure about that: it’s definitely a rule on draft night; but future drafts? Not so sure?
Just can’t see any reason why it would be only for the same draft.Yes. Thought it was to stop a team trading their pick while they match a F/S only to trade it back. Effectively parking it with another club to protect it.
Why TF would Adelaide trade out ROB, only to trade in Grundy? If the stories about us wanting a player from Melbourne for McAdam are true, how about the following outrageously impossible scenario:
Out:
McAdam (to Melb)
In:
Grundy (straight swap, but we are only paying $600k of Grundy salary)
Out:
O'Brien (to North)
In:
Pick 39, Future 2nd
I 100% agree with you. Grundy is cooked. Why TF would Adelaide trade out ROB, only to trade in Grundy?
You do realise we're talking about 2023 Grundy, not 2019 Grundy? Grundy is absolutely cooked, and in no way an upgrade on ROB.
I 100% agree with you. Grundy is cooked.
ROB is also s**t though. So
I'm genuinely struggling to see what player we might want from Melbourne for McAdam.
Pardon the interruption but given Sid Draper and Welsh look like pretty high draft picks next year, how does this look for Crows fans:
OUT
Crows 9, 20, 23, F1 (9) (4665 points)
GCS 4, 32 (2618 points)
WCE F1 (1), 35, 38, 54, 57 (4389 points)
IN
WCE Pick 4, 9 (3503 points)
Crows 32, 35, 38 WCE F1 (1) (4571 points)
GCS 20, 23, 54, 57 Crows F1 (9) (3598 points)
**F1s are assumed to be ladder position, which for WCE I can’t see us finishing higher than anyone except North Melbourne and I think the Crows could easily crack into the finals next year.
The pick 9 this year would be crucial for us to get a KPD so would probably need to be involved. What picks are you expecting to land for Doedee and McAdam?I think it would worth a shot to get WCE first 2024, but I'm not sure we can give up that much.
If there was deal where we kept our pick 9 this year, I'd be all in.
We likely have picks coming in for Doedee and McAdam, so don't need all those picks in the 30s either.
I 100% agree with you. Grundy is cooked.
ROB is also s**t though. So
I'm genuinely struggling to see what player we might want from Melbourne for McAdam.
No. I would accept Swallow, but nothing lesser in value.James Jordon stands out as an OOC and as a bit of a low-value buy, but that doesn't quite equate to McAdam value.
I don't see much value trading out one mediocre ruckman for another, older mediocre ruckman.I 100% agree with you. Grundy is cooked.
ROB is also s**t though. So

Hang-on for 5 ....my people are just working this out ....shouldn't be longIf the stories about us wanting a player from Melbourne for McAdam are true, how about the following outrageously impossible scenario:

In:
Grundy (straight swap, but we are only paying $600k of Grundy salary)

O'Brien (to North)
In:
Pick 39, Future 2nd
Out:
9, 20, 23, (To GC)
In:
Pick 4 + Hollands
Draft Zane Duursma at #4
Result:
OUT: McAdam, O'Brien, Pick 9, 20 and 23
IN: Zane Duursma, Grundy, Hollands, pick 39 and future 2nd round
(North)
Gonna need more computer power than that...
