Not sure if posted already but SEN video I'm watching says Crows appear to be one of 4 clubs vying for Gold Coasts pick 4.
SEN commentators say Adelaide is behind the other three and can't see how we get ahead.

From my perspective it's clear Doedee compo, McAdam trade, future first and existing seconds are all chips that could trump GWS, Melbourne and Dogs.

My question is why are we the one behind. We should be front of queue if we are serious about continuing to bring in top talent and we have the draft collateral to do it

His explanation was that we have less capital, technology true because we can’t trade 23 back to gc ina direct trade.

We can do it if we get a 3rd club involved

Or we get Doedee compo and McAdam trade collateral and trade pick 19, Doedee compo, McAdam compo and future first to get it.

Surely it doesn’t matter if it’s traded in a separate draft as it’s value wasn’t known at the time of the original trade?

It’s a Victorian media article

McAdam and potential Doedee moves give us a pretty decent chance if we want it enough

Also we might be more willing to part with future 1st due to Welsh next year

?? Nothing to do with value , it’s a rule that you can’t trade away pick and then trade back for the same pick with same club
Which would be so you can’t do dodgy shit, which I would assume only matters in the same draft?
It may as well be our own pick we are trading back to them?

What do you think it would take for Mcluggage to pack his suitcases and come to the Crows

Presumably other clubs have future firsts that are more attractive, as ours is being assumed (rightly or wrongly) to be reasonably late in 2024.

It could also be the Bulldogs being willing to give up two 2023 firsts at 10 and 14 to get 4. GCS could then use 10 to get a player and 14 for points.

Wouldn’t they both get gobbled up on the academy boys?
I thought they had 2-3 players going before 10
