It is weird considering Walls said early on that trading up to "the teens" was a big aim of the draft, with particular focus on Gold Coast. Then all of a sudden we start the trade period by trading out of this draft for Port's F1, actively refuse Collingwood's pick 19, and Bell said that after 12ish it's an even draft.

The problem with Collingwood's pick 19 is that this is a heavily compromised draft where that 19 could realistically be pushed back to 24-25. That problem is not expected to be there next year and we are banking on them sliding a little bit.

I think WC hold the pick, only way I see them trading it with current positions is getting 2 and 3 and I think North would be completely moronic to do that. I think we could be in the running for one of Norths 15,17 or 18 depending on who's around. We'd be one of the only teams North could trade the pick to on draft night

I’m hoping we do trade for one of those picks. For my mental health if nothing else!

I cant overstate how much I think he's a spud. His 40 goal season was almost entirely a result of having one incredibly annoying skill that is no longer applicable.

The whole time I was watching us trounce them last year I kept thinking "We'd be getting flogged if they had Mabior Chol and Jack Ginnivan"

This is the stuff that bothers me. Nobody realises that we should be judged in the same vain as them because no ****er can be bothered to do the slightest bit of research. Even the people who literally should do it as part of their job. It's not even hard.

WC are putting all their future in Reid. Sounds like the Kelly thinking. Bank everything on one player. By the time Reid becomes a real force he will be the same as Kelly. Just one player. By then McGovern, Gaff, Ryan will be gone. Oscar is a day to day with his shoulders. Surely they must be thinking they cannot be a force for 5-6 years at least. Meantime they could swap him for 3 players within the top 5-25 drafts this year or for 2024 when the draft is expected to be stronger. I hope the put all their eggs in one basket.

I think that's pretty unfair when they have a different landscape to pick from each year and it's also largely up to what the player wants to do. The levers they can pull differ every year. I WISH it was like nba2k cos I kill at list management in that.
