this is insane, what on earth could they want a future fourth for?

Geelong Father/Sons in the next 2 years they need to accumulate some points for
2024 – Alfie Wojcinski (son of David)
2025 – Jagger Mooney (son of Cameron)
2025 – Boston Riccardi (son of Peter)

Whilst all 3 aren't highly rated as yet anything can happen in your last 1 or 2 years of development in Under 18s

Wojo's kid doesn't look like a top 30 - Jagger and Boston might be the ones to watch for the Cats - especially if Jagger fills out like his old man

I think I'd trade Shiel for minimum chips, or a case of Dare Ice coffee, double espresso though.

And It's not cause I don't like him, I do, I just feel our supporter base is turning toxic towards him and I think he'd be better off with the saints.
PFT as if we become toxic.....

Adrian, it's time to trade Dylan Shiel. All supporters are behind this, get what you can for him, get him off the books and play the youth. It was a failed trade on your behalf (not completely your fault) but it is time to move on. Do everyone a favour and pull the trigger.

STUFFED IT UP

Essendon has reportedly sought clarity from the AFL over a rule that could see the club lose Massimo D’Ambrosio for nothing.

D’Ambrosio wants to play for Hawthorn in 2024, but the Bombers initially knocked back a late pick offer from the Hawks.

Under the AFL’s rules, “A second-year Rookie not accepting a further Rookie contract will be considered a Delisted Free Agent, and therefore will be an Unrestricted Free Agent.”

D’Ambrosio was a mid-season rookie draft pick in 2022 and would then become a delisted/unrestricted free agent if he declines Essendon’s one-year deal for him to stay.

SEN reporter Tom Morris said on Wednesday the Bombers believed the rule should not apply because the classification of a mid-season draftee changed after D’Ambrosio requested a trade.

It's great that Garry Lyon thinks we "stuffed it up". But it just shows he doesn't understand the situation any better than half the Hawthorn (and seemingly a few dons) fans on here.
