Right oh, we've smashed the last 2 drafts out of the park. What's install for next year?

I want Sid Draper, he's a gun. Some father and son picks are going to go early, Tyler Walsh for Adelaide :'(:'( and the Ben Camporeale for Carlton.

A small forward to watch is Evan Bradley from North Adelaide. Kicked some amazing goals this year, and I mean freakishly amazing.

so i thought i would start my thread for 2024 based on u16's championships, state rep games and u18's leagues and who i think has the ability to perform at the state rep levels and potentially AFL level, i will name a top 90 who i am keen to see more of next year and im sure i will find another dozen or so next year in the early rounds or through-out the year.

Updated Ranking
1. Finn O'Sullivan - Oakleigh/Vic Country 181cm - cousin of Sam Walsh, great over head, good user of the footy, smooth mover in traffic
2. Sid Draper - Sth Adel 180cm - one of the better mids for SA at the u18s champs, good work rate and good movement through the midfield
3. Levi Ashcroft - Sandringham(Bris FS) 179cm - small forward who can also accumulate in the midfield, has slowly moved up the rankings with quality performances
4. Josh Smillie - Eastern 194cm - tall midfielder type, who can also play hbf well, good vision and positioning
5. Tyler Welsh - WWT 191cm(Adle FS) - shortish KPF, great work rate and speed for a KPF, movement is fantastic and a good goal kicker
6. Jagga Smith - Oakleigh 181cm - accumulator midfielder, good goal kicker, good agility and movement
7. Leonardo Lombard - GCS A 178cm - a fantastic midfielder who took a few big steps in the CTL and VFL, rising up the draft boards
8. Phoenix Hargrave - Sth Adel 182cm - dominant quality mid at u16s, was solid this year at the u18s and was MVP in the sanfl u18s this year
9. Nash King - Calder 181cm - tough quality midfielder, was ok at u16s but his CTL form and VM form this year confirmed his highish rating going into 2024

11. Tom Gross - Oakleigh 180cm - tough contested midfielder, goes in without fear which is a good trait, a bit erratic

15. Christian Moraes - Eastern 182cm (Haw NGA) - was decent at the u16s champs, but his year this year was top knotch for VM and during the finals
16. Harry O'Farrell - Calder 196cm - a KPD that has improved and caught my eye in a couple of rep games, also has the height to possibly go high in the draft
17. Jonty Faull - GWV 194cm - a KPF who improved dramatically this year and again could rise in rankings based on late season form

22. Ben Camporeale - Glenlg 184cm (Carl FS) - moved from hbf to midfield this year and boosted his value, so i have put them together in the rankings

Get back to ya around early September. The best small forward we should be able to pick up with our first pick, pick 18

I feel like there needs to be more emphasis on the first part.

Out of the god damned park. Way, waaaay, past the car park, past hight street and well past the weird shack on the outskirts of town. Shits f"cken gone, is screening your numbers and ghosted you on socials.

Trade the pick for Ben King :)

What's crazy is that from the best I can tell we have never had that many picks that high in the draft over a couple of years even though we've not even made a Grand Final for almost a quarter of a century. Little wonder we've struggled for quality over that period - the draft has been absolutely pillaged by high PP's, expansion clubs and academy / father son rorts for that entire time.

Explains partly why we've never managed to quite impact at the top and that's not even counting our own league trying to knife us in an alley or slowly strangle us to death. **** the other clubs, **** the league - I hope we win 5 in a row.

I reckon our next year's first rounder will be in the pick 5-6 range, excluding academy /fs impact. I feel we should finish just outside the bottom 4. And that's me being bullish.

We would have to see where we are at with our new draftees and which position needs help the most

Josh Smillie is the one to watch next year. I’m pretty certain he’ll go number 1.

194cm inside mid with elite vision, nice hands and a booming and just bullies the opposition.

Isaac Kako, definitely a need being a zippy and talented small forward. Plays with real flair and can kick goals from anywhere.

Moraes would have to be one of the more classy players I’ve seen come through in recent years. Rarely gets caught with the footy and has a beautiful kick.

Another good small forward and tied to eagles academy so they will miss out on him too

Kako then him as the 2 highly rated small forwards

Hopefully both in our wheelhouse for 2024.

Recurring Here We Go GIF

Still haven't gotten over Watto & Reid wearing royal blue and white so to go again and watch these kids...arghhhh.

Again l'm a needs with elite talent over best available so:
Got to get the best SF in the draft! If RHJ, Dury or Harvey doesn't grab a spot at FP and we are found wanting in this posi, then it's a lock for me - Issac Kako, Taj Hotton, dunno if Jesse Dattoli is a tip rat or a wannabe, Ricky Mentha (maybe ask Duurs his character).
If it has to be a mid, then l can't go pass Smillie although l like the look of Sam Lalor as well...Christian Moraes, Sid, Finn, Jagga, Phoenix maybe Grego...so many talented youngster which is why l questioned taking Kerch when this bunch are coming through.:confounded:

KPF...not too many to look forward too unless Faull has Walter type year, O' Farrell and Luck play full time forward or Trainor grows 5cms and kills it at KPF rather KPD.

Well that's my list to follow.
