Very preliminary notes…

Happy to answer questions.

  • Dow off to the DFC for rehab. Didn’t train at all.
  • Arie a very big (built) boy. Moves pretty smoothly. Only ran laps.
  • Collard, Hotton, and Henry just doing goalkicking early. All joined in the later drills.
  • Crouch pretty heavy strapping on L knee.
  • Irishman got a ton of one-on-one coaching.
  • Allison an insane athlete. As has been said plenty, jury still out if he’s an AFL footballer. Like the Irishman, got a lot of one-on-one advice.
  • Two-part kicking to an I-50 lead drill was good. Quite clear to me that Pou is being used as a conduit between midfield and deep forward; expect him to roam a bit this year.
  • Lenny was the coach the in-close evasiveness drills; pretty good bloke to learn from.
  • Chito and Battle only have one speed… FULL KILL.
  • Hunter still more or less built like a pool noodle, but bizarrely strong, especially through the hips.
  • Paton is clearly being used as a defensive/run-with mid.
  • Half ground attacking drill; Moose not clunking marks in the drill, but keeping Wilkie very honest and halving the contest.
  • Hill, Bonner, Sinclair, NWM, Hunter and Pou are being used as the primary ball-movers.
  • Stocker is extremely vocal in drills. Very much a defensive “general” type.
  • Irishman has an impressively natural kicking action.
  • No Campbell or Marshall sighting.
  • McLennan took an absolute SCREAMER over Hammer right in front of me. Absolute MOTY type. 😳
  • Lastly…

Much appreciated mate 🤝

Fully fit, King is a 50+ goal a year forward all day long. You can't knock that. I do think though that at 23/24 he now needs to start imposing himself on games and impacting more contests in the air than he does. Take the 50+ goals, get to more contests and add more impact when he doesn't mark the ball.

I think Higgins...what you see is what you get. Some days he will kick 4 and some days he will have a shocker. Until someone comes along and has more days kicking 4 and less shockers Higgins probably in best 22.
Fully fit he's 65+

Might have to, so far the only activity I've observed is Liam Stocker walking to the DFS and the ground being watered
Not much of a report !! You need to lift if you want to be part of the PM group.

Will never make it on that effort......

His set shot routine was definitely better.
And he was noticeably more confident.
Just has to get the first. Higgins too.

This kid has something.

But injuries are preventing him from putting a solid block of it together.

🤞 he gets a good run this year
Really Callum Wilkie type.

Interesting with Moose and Paton. Both vintage Lyon roles. He loves an inside 50 spiller and a run with tagger.

Did you enjoy Owens shorty shorts?
You'd swear they were sprayed on.

Stockers shorts....welll.....that's another story.

He was channeling his inner Arie and Darcy vibes.

Young Darcy has certainly started something here.........next everyone will be wearing long white socks on the field.
