Not wishing ill on any player but if someone does fall over or perhaps a kid get sore then it would be a convenient occurrence. Edwards for example. How many games is he really going to play? A placement on the long term injury might be convenient to his development..just put him in the gym. The minutes I saw of Ajang he looked very promising for someone who has played so little. Up against Reeves , he certainly was not daunted by his size. He would be a project but id think he will have those in the club thinking.

Maybe but i would have thought an early bews retirement would be more likely than putting edwards inactive (though neither is likely to play this year).

Do we have a cat B spot left? If not I wonder if we can free one up before mid year?

Our cat b rookie list is full and ajang isnt eligible for cat b anyways (played footy in the last 3 years).
We would have to free up a cat a spot if we wanted to msd him.

Main board rumour: Cats still in the Smith race, but are more focused on Perkins supposedly.

Who knows if it's all true, half of it is, or none of it...but it would fit what we've been hearing for a while.

Perkins name keeps coming up, gotta find that Dogs fan that got the inside word that Cats were meeting with Perkins this previous offseason.

EDIT: Found it!

Guarantee you a Journo will be running with this within a couple weeks.

We all know they get their info from BigFooty, but it would be nice if they just admitted it!

I do think it's possible he leaves. They are pretty terrible West Coast.
If Harley turns out 90% as good as Judd or Selwood, it might be to hard to trade him in.

Any player is tradable ..if he is determined to go. The resident club usually get less than they should .. this would especially be the case if someone like North convinced him to join their bunch of young turks. For us , West Coast would push till our eyes bleed but in the end would have to trade him

That works too.. It was more a way of creating a list spot. Based on last year the MSD will be late May , there is a long time to go yet and a piano might fall on anyone.

Id trade our R1 for him ..but Ess being Ess ...would that be enough.
Now that Dodoro's out, it just might be.

I agree though, I'd trade the pick in a heartbeat.

We look like we'll be challenging to some degree this year, and it's pretty unlikely we'll be getting a kid as talented as Perkins at pick 13+.

Even less likely that we'll be getting one who's as ready to contribute as he is, with a good decade or so of footy ahead of him too.

If the wheels fall off and it's a pick in the top 10 there could be some reservations, but as it stands right now I'd do it.

If we were somehow to get him... he would be another from the class of 2020.

Our R1 and something id say. A pick from next year. Next years R2? That would be expensive but id say if we are keen we would do what we have to do. Ess would squeeze hard
