12 months ago Dewar was struggling to find his feet in the WAFL, having a handful of touches every game and maybe kicking a goal every 2-3 games as a small forward. You could tell he had talent but looked like he was a long way off even being close to AFL ready.
Fast forward to early in his second year and he’s making his AFL debut.
A great result for our NGA and a credit to our development staff for playing a role in getting him to this point.
But most of the plaudits should go to Dewar himself - the work he’s put in over the past year to improve his fitness and his game in general has been really impressive to watch from afar.
A well deserved debut and hope he can show a bit of his talent on Sunday.
