I would say that Rozee is the intelligence and thrust of the team and that Butters is the heart and soul of the team.Hard as nails with a skillset to match. He breaks lines with his pace and stands up in the big moments of games. The spiritual barometer of the team.
The best photographer in the AFL knows Zak Butters is good value and gives him plenty of chances to snap a beauty or two.
I'm sure we had a thread about Zak's face pulling before the Mad Thread Merger happened last year, so I don't know where they all are.
yeah i agree with you, his second best of the season,Richmond game is a tad betterReckon it was close to his best game for the year.
Only a handful of times that he overdid the twists/turns/excessive bounces that he normally does which throws team mates completely out of sync.
Good game.
And he loves his mum, given its mothers day round worth a shout out.Apparently gives a cracking pre-match speech too.

Wouldn’t you just love to hear itApparently gives a cracking pre-match speech too.

I've lost count of the number of times he's taken possession in congestion and gone to bounce the ball with a player on his heels and I've thought "You're fecked here Zac" only for him to zag and pull away. He's a magnificent bustard. In an era built on structure, zone defences and players performing their roles, Butters is like some irrepressible junior grand master that comes to disrupt long established things. He finds openings where none should exist, with a swerve or sway turns defence into streaming attack, and generally wills us onwards by dint of his sheer creative will. Forget the rest - they are plodders and work horses in comparison - Zac is the spark and Zac is the gas
Had a fan boy moment tonight and 99% sure it was Butters at Gaucho's with a friend I couldn't quite recognise (francis evans maybe???) without looking like a creep constantly looking over the shoulder
