Nor fear him.

Yeah, bloody surprised me to hear it from Abernathy. Good!
Ironically Aber is better off in the media. I believe he still has that Port of old mentality, but we know he would be a yes man on the board. I have seen Aber looked really pissed when presenting the footy during a Ports special. He cares. He knows. He just wouldn't do anything about it from the inside.

"It's about to get ugly you suspect at Port Adelaide."

Kane Cornes sounds off on Port's disastrous showing against Brisbane, as pressure ramps up on Ken Hinkley.

Kane on Dustin Martin: “Just RETIRE. You are WASHED. Leave mid season! Forget your milestone game, just go and don’t come back.”

Kane on Ken Hinkley: “He will know when it’s time to go :) Don’t worry about him :) He will let us know :)

I love being lectured about being fickle by a bloke who removed all mention of the club from his profile when he was dropped for a game.
The same guy who signed up to play 7 games in a year where Port were premiership favourites before checking out on his teammates and the supporters. But we're fickle

"Port fans have wanted blood for years even when the club has been performing well."

Isn't that the opposite of fickle?
And still here demanding change rather than just wandering off into the sunset.

Also the opposite of fickle.

The Detriot Pistons just fired Monty Williams after one piss poor season and an 80 million dollar contract (which their owner will pay out)

And they have been a basketcase franchise in the NBA for 10 years now but at least their ownership decided to cut their losses early and not stick around with a deadbeat coach

I dunno now, the booing seems to have hit a nerve.

I imagine they don’t show him at all in the dogs game on the big screen and from then only if we’re winning.

It's up to the network televising the game as to whether he gets shown on the screen. Given how topical his tenure is, they'll definitely show him a few times

There are a number of parallels between Port Adelaide and Parramatta Eels. Both are big clubs, successful off field and passionate fan base.

The Eels recently sacked Brad Arthur after 10 years. Brad built the club to consistently compete from a rabble that it was. We made the GF two years sho but lost to the mighty panthers.

Unlike Ken, Brad could coach and won against top teams. The Eels was the only team to beat Melbourne and Penrith twice in a regular season. Unlike Ken, Brad's team lost to lesser opponents.

I became a vocal Sack Brad person after a shocking loss in Darwin against undersized Dolphins this year. Brad had no plan other than the power game but the Eels were regressing while the competition continued to improve and negated the only advantage.

Like Ken, Brad became 'stubborn' and stuck to his guns - natural human nature but unhelpful. Like Ken, Brad was loved by the team but his instructions were not executed. Like Ken, Brad was deeply respected by the club hierarchy.

After the sacking, the Eels are playing a lot better footy although not winning. Players now know that their careers are on the line. The interim coach had implemented changes to the game plan and structure - we are showing glimpses of attractive and winning footy.

I think Ken Hinkley can coach and mentor. However he has reached his peak, he can't take the next step forward. I wish him well and Tasmania Foundation Coach/Mentor is a perfect role for him.

It's time, Ken.
