I just hope he’s sacked before or after I go on holiday overseas, because I really don’t want to miss the party when he finally gets given the arse.
I'm away for the Bulldogs / Suns / Tigers set of games, which should surely be the killer combo, and I don't want to miss it either. Especially since I was overseas all of 2014 so never got to be in the country when he was at his best.

What I'm saying is sack him today so I was part of his final crowd so I can finally experience some sort of Hinkley related pleasure in person.

I actually want to go to our next game just so I can boo the **** out of Hinkley every time I see him .
I was booing when he was on the screen BEFORE the game.

Nobody complained even then.

In the past there has always been someone who’d defend the leech.

Can't koch sack CD. Also didn't you say CD wasn't a massive fan of Ken?

It doesn't matter so much as what CD actually thinks of Ken, but rather, look at it from the perspective of how the dynamics would change if Ken were to leave. How would that change things for CD? That's where the answer lies (sorry for being a bit cryptic).

Interesting. Appreciate your insights. Can you elaborate on this?

Koch knows heck all about footy. He runs the club like a business, and when it comes to what he's done off-field, he's done a helluva lot right.

When it comes to the decision making surrounding the coach, the Board simply ratify what the footy committee recommend. That is what the process was last year when Ken was extended.

The obvious difference now though in that dynamic is that there is a true footy person (Warren) on the Board - and he's also on the footy committee.

At the beginning of the sports show on 9, Kane calls out the supporters as being fickle, TJ then responds with the most fickle supporters in the league.
Ha ha, we were deemed the most engaged supporter base in the Afl several years ago. Went to a sports night & Tom Jonas, Robbie & Dix were representing the club. Robbie was the consummate professional as always, listening to him was a pleasure & you could see how much being successful meant to him. Tom, who was the captain of our club at the time (I acknowledge he was a courageous player who got the most out of his ability) spent the night basically telling us what a spud he was. Made me so annoyed that our captain could talk in such a defeatist way. Yes it's a sports night, light hearted banter is great, but this is elite level sport, I expect the captain of our club to have more pride & presence. There's no way captains like Selwood, Fyfe, Pendlebury, Neale etc would present themselves in that way. It just reinforced to me how much the clubs standards had dropped.

Ken won't like Warren being about the place, he must be feeling the pressure, but like always he somehow just stays.... like doesn't he think i'ts probably time I leave for the betterment of the club and it's supporters.

Koch and the board would know right this second it's all done, just a matter of how they manage it now, it's finished, and for me there is zero reason to keep him on, there is absolutely nothing to lose at this point.

Koch will have to swallow his pride too, their experiment failed.

I think it's a Victorian thing, protecting Ken because he's one of them, he was never one of us.

Really appreciate your posts. I know there is a limit to what detail you can give, but at least we are getting some reliable and balanced insight as to what is happening.

Thanks for the information on CD & Koch. They all seem to be protecting their jobs as their first priority rather than doing what they can to bring premiership success. This is the problem with footy now being big business. And if you get substandard people in positions of power it just becomes a game of survival & backslapping. CD & others need The Creed shoved in their faces.
