I don't necessarily agree. I think we have been coached ok for a damn long time. However continuing to push a group to work harder for longer, for the last 12 years has eventually gotten to the point where he's finally broken and lost the whole group.

When they keep doing what they're told and the results keep being so consistent, it leads to us just dropping our bundle when it starts to follow that all too familiar script, because every single player and official knows what's about to happen. It's why we get blown out in losses.

All that effort, to execute a fundamentally flawed system, has taken a long time, but has finally broken the group. This weekend it truly looked like the moment it all cracked and fell apart. The effort dropped away, and everything fell to pieces.

It's finally happening. The media is starting to pick up how badly we are becoming. This has been coming for years now and while there were a few folks in the media e.g. David King and Tredders calling out and questioning the team, there were still many media folks defending Ken and showing how "successful" he is during the H&A season.

Well guess what? Winning finals is more important especially on the last match of the year where the two best sides compete to win the flag and we are miles off from that let alone winning a final.

In his first 2 years, he was all about 'us' and what we need to do better which is a good approach.

From then he's crept in more praise for the opposition, to the point where he over praises shit sides now.

I'm pretty sure this year was the first where he acknowledged that he stuffed up (playing an injured Rozee) to which he also praised himself by adding "he's no coward".

Otherwise I've never heard him take accountability. Normal coach speech is something like "the players didn't do X,y,z and that's on me". Never seen Ken do that.

That’s just what a smart bullshitter does. Throw out a couple of tidbits like owning the Rozee mistake to give himself an image of accountability, where as he should be holding himself accountable for underperformance across the board.

My biggest fear is that we won the next 4, and all we hear is how the supporters were wrong. The board remains steadfast and actively proclaims he will be here next year, and then we go and lose out for the remainder. With Ken given another off season to ruin our players.
