And he's absolutely spot on. Hinkley and CD publicly denigrating the playing group... that's got to be great for player morale hey
TBH, I've been appalled at the recent dialogue from Hartlett and Davies denigrating the SANFL top-up players. It is the biggest cop-out and excuse imaginable and a terribly derogatory way to treat players who are representing your club. It also tells our AFL-listed SANFL players that the guys they are playing with are no good, so we don't expect them to develop or win. It's a way out for them to be excused of insipid performances like they produced today.

You can think it, sure. But getting it out so many times in the public domain is disgusting and a very bad reflection of our club.

In the words of Paul Roos - here it is.

I feel like Dr Richard Kimble at the end of The Fugitive when Tommy Lee Jones tells him he knows he didn’t kill his wife.

It’s only taken the better part of a decade for anyone in the footy media to highlight the duplicitous gaslighting and scurrilous accusations we’ve been subjected to as members and fans all these years.

Kane Cornes, Dom Cassisi and Michelangelo Rucci bleating about ‘unrealistic expectations of the supporters’ and reheating the lazy ‘not the SANFL anymore’ refrain, while Super Ken dribbles on about his ‘best ever list’ that he’s ‘improved’ further, and ‘hopes and expects to finish up the top’.

Now he’s playing the “we’re not one of the better teams, everyone says that not just us!” card to lower the bar in an attempt to escape scrutiny.

Someone call Ashanti because Fat Joe’s out here putting people in bodybags son.

This alone should be grounds for instant dismissal with no more than 2 weeks wages as severance package.

To be completely brutally honest, i'm done with the club and won't be coming back. Really just here now for the laughs. They burnt me and i've lost interest, which is a shame, because anyone can see there's some real talent on the list that would be a real joy to watch under a capable football department. For the sake of all of you who are still turning up and buying memberships, i hope you get your wish, Hinkley becomes a bad memory, and someone comes in and steers these burgeoning superstars like JHF, Butterz, Rozee et al to multiple premierships in quick time.

We all laughed at Leon Cameron when he was coach of the Giants with the list he had at his disposal.

But at least he knew when his time was up and his message to the players was not getting through and did the honourable thing and walked away.

Your not alone I feel the same way. I feel it's going take a lot more than sacking the coach to fix this mess.

Integrity is something Hinkley is devoid of.

I'm still expecting the club to double down, come out and take a swipe at the supporters reeling off propaganda, and attempt to calm the media down. Koch to belittle us, club to roll out Thurstans and Cassisi to bitch about us, Boak to declare his undivided love for Kenny, etc. I'll be surprised if they don't at least try. Peckerheads.

How much does ken saying "were not as good as the other teams, everyone else also thinks that" or whatever he said, reek of desperation. "It's not just me that thinks the teams shit, all the media do too, so it's not my fault"

Like heck, thats a shocking thing to say, as a head coach, for so many reasons.

He really should be marched out tomorrow.

And Cameron didn't even have a rabid, rusted on, multi-generational supporter base baying for his resignation, just a few blow-ins who were handed a membership with every Happy Meal at Blacktown McDonalds.

Yep it's like a script so typical to pass the blame off onto the unappreciative supporters and sweep the facts under the carpet.

I'm actually at a point where I want this to drag on just a tiny bit longer, if for nothing else but to properly vindicate all the bullsh&t we as a supporter base have been putting up with for years.

The media are highlighting him now, taking note of the incredibly dumb things he says, of how he throws players under the bus.

Just to reel off a few this year we've had him declaring this the best list hes had, only to now back peddle and say list is shite, play injured players and get called for it, lose to GWS and then admit in the press conference he "doesn't know their players that well"

We've got both teams losing this weekend by more than 70 points each.

His coaching and tactics are finally being highlighted.

It's dawning on everyone, the place is beginning to implode, I want Koch and Davies and Richo to start throwing each other under the bus.

I think we need things to continue to get really bad, to instigate proper, lasting change.

How he's gonna twist that narrative for a middle age white guy with roller blinds will be interesting.

A truly marginalised peoples.

Final bullet? ****ing first bullet. Kochie is using an old musket that takes an eternity to load and is incredibly unreliable.

How long until Whately makes an Adam Goodes comparison
Do you think the new coach may see the fans as a little too passionate? You know, given the 11 thread obituary to him lasting nearly 10 years on here?

I'd agree it's time for a change and probably has been for 2 years, but there is no way Hinkley has been doing anything other than trying to win a premiership for Port Adelaide over the past 10 years. He may not be good enough at coaching to do it, but it's nonsensical to think he doesn't want to coach Port to a premiership.
Hinkley has spent most of his time compensating for his lack of smarts. There's a reason he couldnt win a head coaching gig. His presentations would have been a rambling mess.
