“I’d do it for free”: Lions great offers to solve Brisbane’s goal kicking woes
The Lions have been inaccurate at times this season.www.sen.com.au
I would say Giants Stadium.IF we win and the Giants lose is the Semi Final certain to be at the 24,500 capacity Giants Stadium or is there a chance it could be at the 48,000 capacity SCG?
I wonder who the other two are...Well only if we use one of the only 3 people in the world who are capable which Aker just happens to be 1 of
I’m one and so is my wifeI wonder who the other two are...
Out of curiosity, is that old Olympic stadium in Homebush ever used anymore, not necessarily by Sydney but Giants being in western Sydney?IF we win and the Giants lose is the Semi Final certain to be at the 24,500 capacity Giants Stadium or is there a chance it could be at the 48,000 capacity SCG?
It's used by the NRL and various concerts and national sports teams but the Giants haven't had a game there in quite a while. Occasionally they used to host Sydney there when the Easter show was on.Out of curiosity, is that old Olympic stadium in Homebush ever used anymore, not necessarily by Sydney but Giants being in western Sydney?

This is the path that has appeared to me in a dream. A true hero’s journey.
EF vs Carlton: Lions by 1
We avenge the opening round loss to Carlton with a point after the siren. Ah Chee with a set shot from 20m out directly in front.
SF vs GWS: Lions by 18
GWS dominate the game but kick poorly. We run over them in the 4th quarter, avenging our twin losses to GWS
PF vs Geelong: Lions by 71. We avenge the 2020 and 2022 prelims by spanking Geelong. We do kick 23 behinds in the process.
GF vs Hawthorn: Lions by 4. We overcome our final obstacle, defeating hawthorn after so many years. Posters here spend the off season furious we didn’t win by more.
We have the opportunity to overcome all of our demons this September.
Congratulation Cameron.Dont know all the umpires we have next week but i do know of 1 umpire who we have definitely got for the game. Umpire # 28 Cameron Dore is doing our game.
Carlton have found an un-crossed "T" in the MRO charge sheet, so looking to have the whole thing thrown out on the grounds that the MRO charge sheet was manifestly incomplete, and as such the any reasonable tribunal member could not rule on the said charge with such a blatantly obvious proof-reading error present. The tribunal has upheld Matt Owies ban. He won't feature in Carlton's lineup against us.
Wait no, they're now arguing it should be downgraded to a fine using exceptional circumstances. Go home Carlton
And lo and behold, it failed. He's banned for our elimination final. Unless they decide to appeal, which knowing Carlton they will
I would read this as facetious except after the paint lid defense and the Cripps debacle who knows ... but no sarc tag or wink so this is straight?Carlton have found an un-crossed "T" in the MRO charge sheet, so looking to have the whole thing thrown out on the grounds that the MRO charge sheet was manifestly incomplete, and as such the any reasonable tribunal member could not rule on the said charge with such a blatantly obvious proof-reading error present.
2022 wasn't that long ago. Admittedly the crowd that day wasn't much more than the full capacity of the Showground. It's used by the NRL and various concerts and national sports teams but the Giants haven't had a game there in quite a while. I was actually at that one and had forgotten about it. Accor is that kind of a stadium, very forgettable (and terrible to watch AFL in).2022 wasn't that long ago. Admittedly the crowd that day wasn't much more than the full capacity of the Showground.
Pure fiction.I would read this as facetious except after the paint lid defense and the Cripps debacle who knows ... but no sarc tag or wink so this is straight?
Still, what alternatives will the Giants have should they actually find success in attracting a fanbase and get a similar demand for tickets to us? Unsure how much their government will be open to increasing the capacity of the Showground. They may just tell the Giants to use what's available.I was actually at that one and had forgotten about it. Accor is that kind of a stadium, very forgettable (and terrible to watch AFL in).
Upgrade Canberra for some marquee games?Still, what alternatives will the Giants have should they actually find success in attracting a fanbase and get a similar demand for tickets to us? It'd take an extra 9k seats even to get to the capacity of the Showground. I can't see the ACT government bothering with that unless they had a full-time team. And that doesn't solve the issue of demand for tickets in Sydney.Upgrade Canberra for some marquee games?
There's an easy expansion option up to 30k by building in the open (scoreboard) end and that's been mentioned in the past. I think that's still a way off though. If they get to Lions numbers where they're selling out a 30k-40k stadium regularly, that's when it becomes more interesting as there's no other obvious candidates in western Sydney. I think the best solution then becomes to let Lions members loose on Google Maps to find appropriate green space to commandeer for a stadium like we did when trying to locate a training base.Still, what alternatives will the Giants have should they actually find success in attracting a fanbase and get a similar demand for tickets to us? Unsure how much their government will be open to increasing the capacity of the Showground. They may just tell the Giants to use what's available.
