Sam will be a gun but I reckon Smillie will be pretty prominent in year 1.

Acknowledging superstar potential doesn’t mean I’ve labelled him a superstar—potential exists before it’s delivered in games; that’s why it’s called ‘potential.’

I get it's based on potential but as I said there have been countless players who've shone when first hitting the track only to fail to deliver when the games are played.

Quite frankly I'd be disappointed not to read that top 10 draftees are quite clean ball handlers and have very good basic skills on the training track, that's a given hence their draft position.

So all I'm saying is that instead of hyping the kid up as a potential superstar less than a week after being drafted, maybe, just maybe we let them settle in to the club and wait until they start producing when it matters.

I agree with you to an extent but let people be excited. We aren't going to have much to be excited by when it comes to results for the next few years so let people believe in some hype around the new kids we got.

I'm not hyping this guy up but I think his floor is best player in the league for 5+ years, I don't want to talk too much about his ceiling at risk of applying too much pressure, but let's just say I think he could play to a standard that may cure cancer

Who knows what this kid will be but one is for certain is that he will get the best out of himself.
He was one I was most worried about but after watching a few videos and listening to some interviews I’m very confident this kid will do his best and be a pro
