So much upside with Josh. His disposal was a bit scratchy in this video but the tools are there. My nephew trained with Ranges pre season and played with Chargers during the season and when I asked who was the standout player in the comp he laughed when i threw names like Smith, FOS, Langford etc he just stated that Smillie was a beast and clearly the best player.

Based on his interviews and his desire to be the best, I am planting my flag early with this kid.
There could be footage of him suplexing babies and the elderly and I will still defend him because those bitches had it coming.

I'm really excited by seeing this kid play, reckon he will be a real bull. I can see him getting plenty of it and oppo fans will try and knock him down with ineffective disposal % stats. He is going to be no different to how Patrick Cripps plays but because he wears yellow & black won't get the accolades that Cripps gets.
Most keen to see training footage and preseason from Smillie. Hope we get glowing reports. Him becoming what he could raises the ceiling of this team, tenfold

Good, but you know oppo flogs will look at anything to knock someone down that doesn't play in their side.

Never got a 1st round pick wrong and have been at the top of the ladder for decades so it seems.

How long until we make him captain?
I'm hoping he becomes the player that others on the site say he will be. As I wasn't 100% convinced on him to start with, but I must admit he has grown on me when I have seen some of his highlights. I also think he was best available pick at 7, as the rest of the players I liked were gone.

Impressive young lad
He screams future captain to me at some stage, I get those vibes more than any of our other draftees.
I also see Lalor as a leader as well, similar to Cotch, where he leads by his actions.
