Re: why are the cats...?
at least when we are a quality side, we make the most of our opportunities.
geelong 2006 was disgusting. and how did you lose to the hawks in '08?
...didn't even make the grand final in '10.. haha
Re: why are the cats...?
all teams have up and down periods. and next year we'll be contenders, whereas you'll be scraping the 8.
essendon 16 premierships. says it all.
why are the cats so disgusting this year.
absolutely terrible football, not top 4 contenders, give it away.
collingwood or geelong, i can't even comment on who is more dissapointing this year, because they've both lost that passion.
sad thing to see. your time is over. LOL!
are you claiming west coast is better than collingwood?
doesn't neccessarily mean they have to be better... just on who gets more wins in the home and away season.
I'm not, I'm saying they look impressive, and just asking for opinions on whether or not people think they could make top 4.
they were very very unlucky with injury last year, looking very good early in the season.
Mundy expected back very shortly, could be a dangerous line up.
you cant judge their season to be based on one loss. Sydney are a good team anyway. Geelong won the premiership last year and also lost to essendon that year, they still deserved top 4 and the premiership they earnt.
He's the best player in the game, its just that simple, there is nothing that gary can't do! he will defend teams best players, he will goal from 50 out, he will get all in their mugs, he will do whatever it takes, he is the most complete footballer in the game today bar-none. He has an...
Though its doubtful, im hoping for a slight crash from Collingwood.
First round loss and a 3-4 goal win over Richmond, not too impressive early.
The Malthouse/Buckley switch could hurt in such a tight competition.
I know it's an outsider, but does anyone else believe they are a genuine top 4 candidate?
Sure, only 2 rounds have been played, and they did lose to Sydney, but they played very good football against Geelong, and displayed courage in their fight-back against Sydney (if Mzungu was given that...
It's a hard question to answer as Hurley's been spending a lot of time down back and we've only seen a mere 10 games or so from either of them.
At this stage I'd probably say Hurley but Gumbleton looks like he's starting to find something.
Hahahaha! i went to highschool with him but im 2 years below him.
never spoke to him, then when i heard he got drafted i had to have a chat to him :) its what ya gotta do.
Time's up for Neagle+Laycock?
Both have been considered a work in progress for too long now.
With the find of Hurley and now Gumbleton playing injury free, the rotation of Hille/Ryder down forward, i really don't think there's a use for Neagle, nor do i believe he's AFL standard.
Feel sorry for...

"The Creep", short movie about a strange guy who captures kids at night and buries them, starring Dylan Roberton as the creep.
Was filmed in Frankston, Mid-2009.
(Dylan doesn't enter until 1.44)
If hurley plays the season up forward, i reckon hurls.
williams is a threat.
out of them 2.
gumbleton - no way, i still reckon he'll be a great player but he's played 5 games, he wont come out kickin 50 goals+ in a season (if injury free)
neagle - not a threat. kicks like 1 a game.
Im an essendon supporter and im going to your game this week.
put on a show coz i dont wanna see a blowout.
tell jade to stop dropping your best players like tuck.
thanks guys.
go tiges. (for this w.e)
Please let us beat you's. :)
You's don't need the win, and who would you prefer in finals, port adelaide? pffft.
Pass the message on to Ross and hopefully he'll leave out your 7 best players again :D
Finals.
quite simply, do you think essendon will make finals this year?
imho, i think it'd be better for the playing group if we finish 9-10th this year. Because we'll be a slightly better side next year and that'll make us even hungrier for finals. :thumbsu:
how can you try and dislike bachar? everyone loved him at 1st due to his unusual lifestyle/story.
i DO still believe he'll be a great player.
i just don't think he's making the right decisions at the moment that's all im saying.
Well, if you'd actually been watching what he's done with those disposals you'd think otherwise. the last 3-4 weeks ive seen him, he makes all the wrong decisions and just can't hit the targets. not up to AFL standard yet.
i didnt watch the game against the cats i was playin footy, i saw the team sheet and i thought he was in. sorry, just imagine scottys on the list too. :o
sheeds falls in love with players though.
Kepler Bradley for example.
In my opinion Mark Mcveigh or David Hille are the stand-out picks.
good leadership from hille in '06 when lloyd went down.
and i think we'd all have seen spike's speech before anzac day last year if i remember correctly.
Hille - season.
Bellchambers - 6 weeks.
laycock - ?
If Paddy gets a heavy injury within the next few weeks, what'll we do?
the options would probably be:
Scott Lucas, Jay Neagle, Adam McPhee, Cale Hooker/Tayte Pears, Leroy Jetta.
in other words, disastrous. btw whats happening with...
