Will the AFL cooperate with FFA for World Cup bid?

The only thing going against Australia putting up a bid, is with alot of oval stadiums where as other countries could / would have rectangular stadiums in their plans would put Australia at a disadvantage. For a comparison on sizes, a rectangular stadium ala the san siro in milan italy would...

Will the AFL cooperate with FFA for World Cup bid?

MCG would not host any games as it does not meet fifa requirements unless they get an exemption. If the AFL / did not co-operate with the government they would be get alot of negative publicity even with members. AFL would start earlier & finish later in the year but there would still be 22...

Tim Lane: "Flawed Eagles hardly heinous"

So dumb arse, you can see what a performance enhacing drug is now dumb arse. With people like you around it is no wonder they get away with it. Sop listening to the AFL & WC are saying and have alook at what people from WADA and ASADA say dumb arse but then you would have to get your head out...

If you want to know how a drug is out of your system and you still get a benefit have a read of ASADA and WADA and people who work with the IOC.

Tim Lane: "Flawed Eagles hardly heinous"

Face the facts. WC have kept their heads in the sand the last 5 or more seasons and you can see why they can get away with it for so long when so many people have their heads in the sand and never ask the direct questions and WC giving their wishy washy answers. WC wishy washy premiers 2006...

Tim Lane: "Flawed Eagles hardly heinous"

Why would a club ask a player now if a player was on drugs. Worsfold did and he said the players all lied and now he says they are drug free. Work it out, if a drug is out of your system in 12 hours and your getting the benefits 24 to 36 hours later you will not be caught on matchday but you...

Tim Lane: "Flawed Eagles hardly heinous"

Yes a substance abuse problem. Do you think it is alcohol or glue or something. It is all typical of the head in the sand approach. WC were asked about Fletcher and have responded with 1) he had pneumonia 2) he had too much alcohol 3) he had an allergic reaction to a yellow fever...

They do not disclose until the third positive test. West Coast have admitted they have / had a drug problem but we will never know because the AFL and WC are protecting themselves. Some of these drugs are out of your system in 12 hours tey you get the benefit 24 to 36 hours later.

Tim Lane: "Flawed Eagles hardly heinous"

Some of the drugs these players are on are prohibited doping substances under the WADA code. West Coast / their doctor knew players were on drugs which are on the performance enhancing list and they continued playing those players. Interesting to see if the AFL have an investigation as they...

Kerr in trouble - AGAIN! - (it is alleged)

When a nurse has told me visiting hours are over, it is time to leave I have said my goodbyes and left. As if the nurses and security guards picked on Kerr as Worsfold insinuated. He might stop attracting trouble if he stops getting on the juice

Kerr in trouble - AGAIN! - (it is alleged)

When I was playing junior sports at school and on weekends our coaches used to tell us if you want to be a professional sportsman you have to make sacrifices. Now people try and defend lowlife scum like this bloke picking on nurses in a hospital. I can not imagine other sportsmen like Grant...

    Atmosphere at the soccer better?

Australians you find support teams / players in different ways. Watching Marcos Baghdatis at tennis, the hopman cup, davis cup the international water polo and the ashes the spectatators in these sports have been singing, chanting etc as a show of support as opposed to appealing to the umpire...

AFL CEO Demetriou: drug testing a "logistical nightmare"

I can not understand why they do not do tests out of season. If a sprinter aims to compete at the olimpics the sprinter would be tested all over the 4 period, not just the selection trials and the 2 weeks of the games. Any AFL player would go on the juice in the off season because you are not...

Freo in salary cap trouble - could lose a few big name player

Freo and west coast have no salary cap, they just get sponsors to pay players directly outside of salary cap or get them invloved in investments on the cheap. eg. real estate agent paying player for minimal work, developer getting player involved in investment well below the asking rate /...

Drug Problem at West Coast: Caroline Wilson

If the AFL did not go to court and suppress the names all the speculation would end and everybody would get on with it and other players would not be tarnished by these players who tested positive. If Leyton Hewitt or Grant Hackett ever tested positive I do not think their names would be...

    Atmosphere at the soccer better?

If people in Australia wanted to watch the best soccer players they would be paying $100 to $150 to watch a game. In a-league you can get in for $20 to $30 which is probably comparible to Australian sports. Why stop people who want to improve themselves and go overseas, ala golfers...

Culture of Violence, time for action.

WA teams get looked after by their media so there is alot that happens that gets covered up. I have noticed alot of stories get broken by eastern states media about freo & eagles, Perth media must suck up alot to both teams.

    world cup soccer vs olympics

There were 194 countries that tried to qualify for the world cup 2006, and only 32 made it to Germany. I can not not remember anybody getting up early in the morning to go watch the olympics in federation square and other public venues yet with the world cup this happens and in other places...

This is what Joffa had to say about Melbourne Victory

Re: Joffa says Victory game "shat on any AFL game I have ever attended" You will find Perth's best season average attendance in the NSL was their second season when they finished pretty low I think. Mind you Perth media are knobs.
